I have the 21s on my 2017 glc43 coupe. When I bought the glc used the dealer had replaced only the tires so now my rears are coming up for replacement soon. I wanna do the glc63 tire sizes but was wondering can I do the rear 295/35/21 already and still keep the 255/40/21 in the front with no issues from the awd or abs? And then when time comes for front tire replacement do the 265/40/21?

According to the original fitment, the 255 is 29 in dia and the 285 is 28.9 giving a -.3% difference. The 295 is 29.1 in dia and will give a difference of +.3%.
Im not sure whether 255/295 is permissible for front/back configuration as you are suggesting but the 265/295 config is within the % as recommended by TIRERACK. I am aware of a 265/315 config but have lost touch with that person.
Maybe you can call tirerack to hear their opinion. On the surface it appears ok to me.
Their tiresize chart is on their website: https://tiresize.com/comparison/.
Keep us in the loop.
Thx

I have a 2019 43 with 15k miles . Original tires are the Conti and still fine at the moment . I can see that the front will go before the rear .
Last winter ,we traveled to Utah for 2 weeks so I decided to install Pirelli Scorpio all season 265 front and 295 rear just for that trip and reinstall the OEM back after to finish them.
With the Pirelli, the car is way more comfortable and no crabbing any more and they are good on snow .
No ABS or whatever issues even lowered .
When it's time to swap ,I will keep buying the Pirelli tire .

This thread was very helpful. I just bought a 2020 GLC43 and I have been trying to find all-season tires. Since it appears more than a few people have changed over to the 265/295 Pirelli tires like you did, I am going ahead and getting those. I actually did call Mercedes and asked what it would be to buy 4 20" rims and all-season tires for my car from them and they only want $8000.00. I'm no tire guy but that seemed excessive. So if anyone who went up to the 265/295 and had issues, please let me know.

I got the atturos in the 265/295 size for my glc43. Great tires and inexpensive. Ran them on my hellcat. All 4 tires for less than 600$

So is the Scorpion still the all-season tire to go with? I see the Continental DWS 06 Plus and Vredestein Quatrac Pro are available in OE sizes, anybody running these?

Anybody running other than oem tire sizes on oem wheels?

The pirelli scorpion zero all season plus is the year round tire i would go with. I have been reading a lot on tires, and im wondering maybe i should stick to MO tires. That would mean a dedicated winter set of pirelli scropion winters. Gives me an excuse to also get a set of hre rims lol

I have a 2018 GLC43 with 21's for summer and went for a square setup with 19s for winter. This winter setup has worked perfectly and I don't think it is worth the extra $$'s to have 21" winters (unless of course if you are concerned about how it looks).

I have a squared winter set up on my ‘19 63S, 265 x 20. They work well in the snow. I am on P zeros in 21 stock sizes. Considering going with the Pirelli Scorpion Zero all season for a daily. I hate the crabbing issue with the P Zeros.

I drive a 2019 GLC 43 SUV and after only 9K miles it’s time to replace the original Continentals. Strongly considering the Pirelli Scorpion PZero or Verde 265/295 arrangement. It looks like numerous posters have gone this route…any regrets? Any problems with the tires scrubbing the wheel well in the front? Has switching to this set eliminated that annoykng crabbing?

Well pulled the trigger on the continentals dws 06 plus and very happy with them. Tire looks great and the ride is a lot quieter and smoother.

I've had the DWS 06s on a number of cars, most recently my wife's X5. They seem a bit soft, prone to chipping, and prone to bubbling. I had PS 3+ A/S on my 63 wagon and, while they got louder a bit sooner than I was expecting, they were a solid tire. Where did you get them?

So switching out the Contis for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 and America’s Tire is insisting that for my 2019 GLC43 I must go with 255/295. These are 21’s and no where in this thread have I seen this combo. Mostly 265/295. Is there any downside to going with 255 on the front? The front tires end up being .1” shorter on the front than the rear where currently the fronts are .1 taller than rears.

Weird. Tire Rack doesn't make you buy a certain size, you can always pick whatever you want. I've got 265/295 on my 63.

On Friday I had the Pirellis swapped for the Pilot Sport A/S 4s. No crabbing so far and I think they look better on the car. I used ASAPTire, the captive installer Tire Rack uses to have them put on. They came my house and did it all for $25 a corner. If, when you're checking out, ASAPTire doesn't come up as an option, just get the tires shipped to your house and schedule an appt with ASAP at some point in the future. Chances are they're not coming up in the checkout screen because there's no appts available in the short run (I had to wait about a week).
