Why is my Glc43 lowbeam headlamp always on?

Why is my Glc43 lowbeam headlamp always on?
Hi all,

After i got my car, i noticed the lowbeam lights are always on when I’m driving despite the light control is turned to auto and during daytime. I see other Mercedes passing by with the strip led lights only and looking cool asf lol.
Does anyone know what’s wrong with it? or maybe I’m doing something wrong?

yes i have. There’s no setting for lowbeams.

Would help if we knew where you are, rules on lighting are country specific.

You are correct, should be same as others, dealer will be able to advise.

The light sensor is in the top of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror, you can test it by covering or putting light onto it.

If you're in Toronto at this time of year wouldn't it be dark/gloomy a lot of the time thus the headlights would be frequently on?

Also in Toronto, strip light always on during the day. FYI had my GLC43 in for a noise in the cabin, found out there was a headlight recall. Apparently just an adjustment.

Aren't they meant to be, in UK they are called day time running lights.
