43 retrofit information (bumper)

Hi all, long time lurker. Have learnt a lot (for example my dealer is updating my head unit hardware for carplay etc).

I have a GLC43 - Im doing a retrofit of the rea valance on my car but dont have access to online documentation to get the exact part numbers, I have the VIN of the GLC63 that is perfectly compatible with my car (towbar etc), but was wondering if there was someone out there who can provide me the part numbers?

The VIN of the GLC63 that I nearly bought (my wife nearly killed me) is WDC2539892F510910. I'd like the lower rear bumper, middle difuser and tail pipes (but in silver, not black) and other items that I might need.

This would be greatly appreciated. Other mods are going to happen, cosmeticetly though - whels will become 21 inch (in RSA the standard is 19) and the grill will be swopped at some point (already have it, just not time to do so).

Thanks! looking forward to a great time on this board as this is my first mercedes, coming from VW for a long time. Although my wife still has a Touareg

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa.....not to hijack the thread, but how did they update the headunit hardware for CarPlay? I have a 2019 GLC63 with Comand coming and I haven’t seen anywhere that this can be made compatible for CarPlay. What exactly was done? I’d like CarPlay in addition to the Comand System.

thanks

I have the audio 20, not command. My unit is Melco and I am gettign a panasonic HU installed for the Android Auto side. Next plan is to upgrade to the larger facelift screens as in the C class if its possible.

edit
What colour are you getting? I rate the one I saw yesterday while I was, although I am biased on the colour

ok, thanks. You got my hopes up there was a way to ad CarPlay.

Im getting diamond white. They gray was my second choice. Wanted a low maintenance color. Think I’m going to get ceramic coating on it.

Good of luck with the rear bumper, post pics when it’s done.

I think their is 2 different valence model for the GLC 63 SUV
One for the GLC 63 and another one for the GLC 63S (we don't have the S version in the US)
The S version has a bar at the bottom , I prefer the one without the bar !

Me too. I don't understand why they put some random afterthought on the diffuser. Why not a carbon wing for the hatch or something instead?

I'll check, because the apparently the63s can still have a tow bar with that VIN that I ordered.

Do you have two pics of one with and without? I was under the impression that the 63s can fit despite the towbar requirement.

Try here: https://www.realoem.com/ for part numbers/parts

Or here: https://www.kunzmann.de/shop/en/prod...edes-benz/glc/ for parts. You could email them and ask for Part #.

Good luck! You almost had me too with the CarPlay/Android Auto update.

This is the the diffuser that I want as it's from a 63s that has tow hitch.

Has this got a bar?

Thanks, they don't have the part numbers... The online parts don't have the 63 listed yet

Monday it shall be...

Thanks, eill use as reference.
It is interesting that the one I drove was a 63S and it had the one without the bar.

Then one with the bar cannot have the tow bar. I suspect if you order the tow bar then you get the diffuser to that applies to it.

Here are the part numbers. The tailpipes are the same price as the bumper trim haha.

I chose the chrome tailpipes.

It's not in USD but works out to about $380 each, that's $380 for the bumper trim and each tailpipe. About $1100 in total if I convert.

Is the "tail pipe cover" just a chrome piece that fits over the existing (black, I assume) tail pipe you have on your 43? I actually have a chrome tail pipe and want black, but only finding the whole tail pipe part, instead of the "cover". Searched the part # above on Google, but didn't get anything. We should swap...ha. Thanks!

I googled it, similar to these. Not just a cover, its the metal housing for the exhaust exits. each one is about $380

I have silver though, not keen on chrome as it dissappears with the bumper plastic. You can get black covers from aliexpress for cheap if you want a quick fix for yours.

I wrote a whole reply and now it’s gone. Finally done. Will post a list of parts. In total 6 adapters, exhaust tips, bumper and Centre deflection channel.
