i do not even have my car yet. Renntech is well known in AMG world

Someone with an 18 GLC is running Weistech and ctually ran the quarter mile last week with 11.5 second ET.

I have not seen anyone with Eurocharged yet.

probably best to ask the C63 crowd if looking for experience.

I am currently running the Weistec tune and custom catted downpipes. Definitely worth the money. They are located in SoCal that is why I chose them. 0-60 in under 3 seconds. 1/8th mile in 7.2 and 1/4th in 11.5 Great group of guys. Euro charge is the easy way to do it due to OBD2 connection. I’ll try and get some videos tomorrow and post them.

You dont need to physically pull the ECU out. It is plug and play through your OBD2 socket

This is my custom made downpipes. I had some non-catted downpipes from my C63. I order 2 highflow cats (Vibrant 7830's) and had them welded on. Be sure if you go this route that the Cats are attached at the lowest point of the downpipes. I was told if they are put too close to the top by the turbos they can melt them from getting so hot... I will try and get some drive by videos but havent had time to do so.
Here you are:

I did the Eurocharged tune yesterday. I immediately noticed a huge difference in the SOTP. It was super-easy and only took a few minutes. Now I just need some 21" or 22" wheels...

Its a lot more on the low end it feels like. From 3k-5k it is back breaking but the turbos are too small to give you that top end demand. Definitely way faster though. I am going to do Stage 2 turbos from Weistec.

Also, PJJP your car will get faster as you drive it. The ECU has to learn the power that it has. I took it immediately to the 1/4th mile and my car went in limp mode when in Sport+ mode and switched to manual. Ever since then I have driven it pretty hard and hasnt happened again.

I already bought the w.3 turbo upgrade. The only reason I am doing that one is because it uses the stock housing so when I get rid of the car it can be tuned to stock and the new owner nor mercedes would know the difference. They basically mill it larger and change the internals. Puts out 700 HP to the wheels. Basically gives you that low end and top end I am looking for.

I already have their tune so he said it would be a $450 charge for another flash to the big power.

I spoke with them already it is a 1 day turn around for the job. I just need to find a mechanic for the job. They stated 10 hours total for the labor. Weistec charges a bundle for hourly labor so I am looking for a decent shop here in San Diego. Ive found everyone highly overpriced for some of the worst work I have seen.

Holy crap!!! I wasn’t going to mod this car as it’s my daily driver, but now I’m questioning that decision. I wonder what the “supporting upgrades” are that are needed to get the 900+ hp they claim.

Downpipes, high flow air intake, turbos and ECU tune.

I switch off between my E63s and the GLC. It is very tame when in comfort but when I want to be ruthless I drop it in Sport+ and it is a completely different animal.

That’s all? I’m assuming that 900hp is on race gas. Something like MS109? So for about $15k I can add another 400+ hp?
I’m trying to talk myself out of it, but I can’t think of a good reason not to do it. Or maybe the logic portion of my brain has shut off.

Will the turbo upgrade pass emissions testing?

I am seriously considering this. My TT Viper has 1200RWHP, but only 2 seats... If this will pass emissions, I don't see a reason not to do it. I love power and turbos!

This is the reason why I chose the GLC. It’s a pretty awesome platform to begin with. The 9 speed keeps it in the powerband so well and of course the V8 and 4 matic. Also we can throw that it is a midsize suv. As of now we are pure low end speed but with these upgrades I think I will get into the 10’s on the 1/4 mile.

As as far as the emissions I believe that the upgraded turbos shouldn’t have any effect on tailpipe emissions... I would think it would pass with flying colors for a walk around and tailpipe test.
AWD = no dyno = no load = no boost = for emissions).

I had to go to the dealer today to pick up some paperwork. While I was there I stopped by service and we got to talking about mods. I was told that they do stage 1 and 2 tunes there and that the tunes are done by Mercedes. Also that the downpipes for stage 2 are made by Mercedes. Then I was told that if I did it through the dealership it doesn’t void my warranty.
Is this for real? Downpipes and a tune good for 700hp and I retain the factory warranty? I searched online and found nothing about this.

Does anyone one have any insight or experience with this? If I can keep my warranty, it’s getting tuned as soon as I get through the break-in.
