Changed the look of my coupes rear end 😂

I finally finished changing my badges and emblems to black along w the chrome trim over the tail lights. I dipped the badges and ordered a replacement black merc emblem and had the tail light trim wrapped. I think it looks so much better. Even though I have the night pkg it still come with those parts chrome including chrome door handles😖. I ordered the carbon fiber door handle covers from eBay. Still waiting for those from China 😂

Looks cool. How easy was it to wrap the tail light trim? Planning to do the same.

its not hard. I plasti dipped the letter badges and bought a new emblem on eBay to replace the chrome one and then had the chrome trim wrapped. All total was easily under $100

Next I removed part of the side badges. The bottom part w the 4matic strip is separate from the letters and then plasti dipped the letters. Think it looks much better and cleaner.

The side and rear trunk badges were just stuck by double sided tape? did you just peel them off or did you have to use a heat gun?

Also for the rear trunk logo, is that one screwed in?

the rear badges are the originals but yes they are double sided tape from Mercedes. I just plasti dipped them. The trunk logo has double sided tape so I heated it a little and then peeled it off. The side badges are double sided tape too and I plasti dipped the originals too

Where you worried about getting the badges to line up perfectly on refit? How did you get them perfectly straight and in the exact spot again?

they were not removed. I plasti dipped them. Only badge I removed and replaced was the trunk emblem and it has slots to put back correctly. On the side badges they are multiple pieces so the biturbo stayed on while I removed the rest and then plasti dipped the biturbo part.

Love it. I am in the middles of the same thing and was searching about the taillight chrome. Good idea to just wrap it. I have a 2018GLC43. How did you get off the star?

I did the same and put painters tape in place before removing old badges.

I had a panel popper tool and popped it off.
