=== Template for rear badges ===

Hey Guys, does anyone know where can I purchase the template for locating the rear end AMG and GlC63 badges for my GLC 63?
I have done some paint job for my rear trunk and would like to have exactly right factory position for the chrome badges??

I agree with eyeballing it. I work at a collision shop, and the fact is there are no templates for any car that I know of to get the placement right; you have to make your own and eyeball it. I usually take pictures before hand so I can locate them properly, but if I dont have those, I hop on ebay and look for the same car to see the placement. I will also use masking tape to help me. For example to do the emblems on the back of this car, I will stretch a piece of masking tape across the back where the emblems would go, to make a straight line to reference. Then use a pencil to mark where the start of each emblem needs to go, then line them up with the tape. Using the tape makes it easier to reposition things; it is easy to move your tape and check the look of how things line up, and reposition as necessary, vs putting the emblem in the wrong spot and having to remove it and start over. I will also use other references on the car to help line it up. For example, in the above picture I can see that the edge of the nameplate lines up with the center of the clear area of the lamp above it, so I will use that as a reference to make my marks on the tape. Hope this helps. I dont think there is a right or wrong, it is whatever looks good.

Removal of side badges

In the 2020, you cannot delete the side badges as before. Questions to the forum on how to best remove the side badge without any damage to the finish. Thanks in advance.

Slightly heat with a blow dryer, use dental floss and saw through the adhesive and the Glue Off to get final adhesive off after badges are removed, clean well, rewax and grab a beer. Takes about 5 minutes of work per badge and 4 and 1/2 of that time is the Glue Off part.
