New member intro, GLC63 build
I've been fortunate enough to drive BMWs (of varying styles and conditions...) over the past 15 years. In fact, I’ve never owned anything but BMWs. However, the time has come for something new. The GLC63 has intrigued me since its debut, and the updated styling and increased level of std equipment in the 2020 has sealed the deal for me. I’m looking to replace my 2017 M3 (comp pkg, 6MT) with a new GLC63 non-S SUV.
My build is below:
2020 GLC63 SUV
Mojave silver metallic
20” wheels w/ black accents
MB-Tex Dinamica interior in black
AMG night package
Lighting package
Driver assistance package
Parking assistance package
Rear air
Heated rear seats
Wireless charging
My goal is to get the above build for $80k out the door (incl 3% NC highway use tax and dealer fees). This would require a 6-7% discount from MSRP, but the best I’ve been offered is 3% and even then, it was as if they were doing me a favor.
Is 6-7% a reasonable ask on a new order? I’m not in a huge hurry, but would like to get the ball rolling sooner than later.
At any rate, looking forward to joining the community!

The things I would probably miss with "S" would be red calibers and AMG Dynamic Engine Mounts.
I think the ride comfort would be better with 20" wheels.
Hopefully, the jerkiness would be fixed in the 2020 AMG GLCs...

Best they've offered so far on 2020 glc43 or glc63 is 3%, but I’ve yet to get serious about it. They might go lower if I commit to buying. I’m also budgeting 7% discount in my buying calculation.
November build...now the waiting begins! Very excited, but now I also have to figure out what to do with the M3.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Definitely understand I could've saved more elsewhere, but wasn't willing to put down $2-3k+ to order and then work out shipping or travel logistics once it arrives, eating into the discount.
Switch wheels to 21" silver multispoke and color to Selenite instead of Mojave. Love the warm tone of Mojave, but looks too beige/gold in certain lighting. But, I'm not completely sold on Selenite either! Pretty much between Selenite, Obsidian black, and Polar white (all very bold, exciting colors, I know).
The glc63 looks best in selenite in my opinion.
Agreed on Selenite. I’ve only ever owned black cars, so a metallic gray is also a nice middle ground between what I’ve been used to and the brighter colors.
