Option help Brushed aluminum running boards

Anyone think this is a good option for black on black glc63 suv ? Does it make car a wider looking?

2015 Challenger Hellcat, 2023 Ram 3500, 2005 E55 Wagon, 2019 GLC63s

One thing is for sure is it will protect the rocker panels from rock chips. Without them, you will have to apply protective film down there. Personally I didn't like the look of them and felt they looked odd on the car. Plus it would be a perfect place to get your pants dirty on; especially if you have winter where you live.

AMG GLC 63s Coupe

I have the Coupe and think they look horrible on that model. I could see where it would look better on the SUV but since these cars are pretty aggressive looking and sport like, I don't think they belong on them.

They look better on the GLE traditional SUV.

I would run through the picture thread (GLC43 & GLC63 AMG Picture Thread) and see if you like them... I'm not big on them, on the GLC, but I would agree that they look decent on a larger SUV like the GLE.

For a few days, I drove a GLC SUV loaner that had the running boards. I tried stepping on them to get into the car. Very awkward and more difficult than without them. Rubbed against my pants leg every time I got out of the car.
