Is there a specific way I should go about finding out about the specifics for my situation/build? I feel like the people at the dealership are clueless. that, or they just dont want to deal

Yes. I just amended my post in case you haven't seen it. Have you asked the dealer if they have an allocation? They can also tell you if the order gets accepted by the factory.

The dealership is pretty much the only entity that can tell you the status of your order.

Regarding orders and units produced in Germany, I had an order for an E63s WITH deposit and all ED paperwork completed in Feb and on April 20th when German production resumed my ED/dealer rep called an said my order was canceled. This is different for several reasons, not the least of which it's a difference class car and production facility but probably most importantly the E Class is changing over to facelifted 2021 cars and my build was scheduled for last week and ED the second week of June. So if there isn't a FL planned for the C Class I'd expect all one would need to do to get their spec'd car is have a little patience.

My build was for June and cancelled no other date given but at the earliest seems to be fall if the plants don't close again given the pandemic situation

I placed my order on Feb 17, that was originally slated to be build mid-April.

I don't know which, if any, Montreal dealers are factory-owned. However the Toronto-area dealers that trade under the name "Mercedes-Benz Toronto Retail Group" (https://www.mercedes-benz-toronto.ca/) are factory dealers. Maybe call them and ask?

Having originally been told my 2020 GLC 43 order had been cancelled and i would have to wait until late in the year for a 2021 model - got a message from Dealer today saying we have a production allocation for July for a 2020.

That makes sense. My dealership used an existing allocation for a GLC300 and changed that order to my GLC43 build.

For those that still have a build under way, have you received any recent updates, or any recent deliveries?
I am getting inpatient and also thinking that I will get a 2020 model when the 2021's will be available to order in the not so distant future.
I placed my order early this year and had to wait for a dealer allocation to be available, last I heard is that it would be build by the end of May.

Nothing from my SA except my order was put in when I checked last month. I ordered on 3/14 right before everything shutdown so expecting July delivery.

Reached out to my sales person yesterday to get an update. Last he told me on 5/11 was that car would complete production end of month so I was hoping to hear that car is on its way to the US. Unfortunately the news he gave me is that according to distributions, car will go into production end of this month!!

after few more following up with my SA, finally got the production schedule to start in July with end of August or Sept delivery. I told him if by then we'll need to re-negotiate cuz it's near the end of 2020 model.
