2020 GLC 63s Coupe AMG Quarter Mile Time - Stock
I wanted to take the brick (SUV) to the strip and see what it would run in the quarter. I know some magazine had this at 11.7 but I felt that was too optimistic. Most have the GLC 63s AMG at 11.9 or 12 flat. I expected it to do well in the first 1/8th and then kinda just hit a wall afterwards. It has a good launch but past 70 mph, its not really accelerating as fast as you would expect with the launch that it has. It makes it feel like two different cars sometimes. Understanding this is an SUV, I'm pretty happy with it. I did get to run a 11.9 and I was impressed as I really didn't think it could do it. Video below for the process and timeslips.

I did not unfortunately. I thought this was only reserved for the e63s and thought about trying it shortly after the races. Although, I don't think I could get a better launch regardless. There was slight spin and no bog on my launches, so almost perfect, and I think raising the rpms would be counter productive. The track wasn't that sticky, it probably would have negatively effected the times.

117 mph is moving. Where did you do your run? I don't see my car doing that at all. I have a best of 113 mph and that's with a slower ET.

I'll take mine to the track when it gets cooler out. It's currently 105+ in Dallas.
Gonna run it side by side with the Viper. I think the GLE will win mostly because the coilovers on the viper are so stiff, it wont be able to put power down.
I'm really hoping that in 60 degree or cooler air and really good track prep with 4S tires, I can pull off a 10.999 but it will probably be closer to an 11.2 or something. Hoping the stage 2 ECU, TCU tune, downpipes, intakes and better tires gets me .7 faster than magazine times, but .7 is a lot in a 5500lb brick.
Whatever it is, it's a damn fun daily driver.
