2020 GLC43 Tire info standard or run flat ?
I can't seem to get a straight answer as the dealership told me that I have run flats and the tire shops say they are not? I have a small spare tire in the hatch
I have these DUNLOP SPORT MAXX RT2 21'
- Front: 255/40ZR21 102Y XL
- 285/35ZR21 105Y XL
I guess it's somewhat important to know

I'm assuming next steps here is the get a spare tire with the rim from Mercedes and then go to the car shops and have them replace the tires ? Just odd since every tire place is telling me if it was regular tires then Mercedes has to provide a spare. Is this what everyone else is doing ?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

GLC(s) came with run-flat tires with "MOE" on the sidewall. MB tires that are not run-flat say "MO" on the sidewall.
A lot of GLC(s) come with spare tire's now and they do not have run-flat tires. In the U.S. market, they have either run-flat tires or spare tire kits.
Some cars come with MB "Tire-Fit". Also commercially known as fix-a-flat. This is a little black plastic bottle under the rear cargo area floor. You'll usually see these in a GLC that came with 21" wheels originally (possible for other sizes too).
I might grab a GLC 43 with 21" Dunlop tires and that has the Tire-fit, but I don't additional information on the tires at this minute.
Hope this helped clarify.
My car is currently experiencing extreme crabbing with skipping that feels dangerous especially in inclement weather conditions like sleet and icy rain. Does anyone know if the gle 53 amg model has this issue as well.
EDIT: Adding a screenshot from my original build sheet, dated December 2019. I was not given any option other than run-flats - this was the only choice.

Mine came the same way with the exact same tires. 2022 AMG GLC 43 with the 20 inch rims (night package). If you think that ride is harsh, spend some time in a C63 with stock tires!

Update: I should have mentioned that since I was able to order and spec the car I specifically got the 20" wheels and ordered the spare tire package with the intention of dropping the "MOE"'s for tires with higher side walls and not as stiff as the run flats.

The argument of whether they come with run flat tires is not answered as "I have these, so they don't come with that"...
They came with run-flat all seasons, summer tires without run-flats, tire fit & compressor, or spare tire kit. These also depend on tire sizes that were chosen.
hell, they probably have a few other options that are based on where you live. 😆
This is how it is in the US market at least:
If it came with a spare tire, you lose the underfloor storage area and have a 'donut' spare with tools (collapsible basket didn't fit under and will be in cargo area).
If it came with run-flats, you have nothing and it's a regular storage area with collapsible basket/1st-aid/ net/etc.
If it came with tires that are not run-flat and without a spare tire, it should have come with a bottle of tire-fit (fix-a-flat) and a compressor. It is possible that someone (usually a sales person) at the dealership took from one vehicle and put in another that was missing it... see this too often with removable items and they 'forget' to replace it...
Also, I'm not sure about this, I guess it could be possible to have a collapsible spare tire, but I haven't seen a vehicle come with one of those in several years.

on the spec sheet which are the dreaded Run Flat Goodyears. We live in a remote Utah area so the run-flats might have some safety value but they are harsh riding.
255/40 R21 & 285/35 R21
I’ve read that other people are putting Pilot Sport 4S 265/40R21 in the front and the 295/35R21 in the back. They seem to last a bit longer. I’ll give it a shot once these contis are done.
I've noticed some of the 43's with the 21" wheels are coming with Continental Summer tires and then some with the Dunlop Summer tires. Is there a reason why or region specific? If given the option, I think I would request the Dunlops due to the longer wear rating and I prefer the sidewall on the Dunlops.
