Ordered GLC 63 AMG/ VPC delayed

Hello all.

I custom ordered a GLC 63 AMG. Dealer just told me there is a delay in VPC in Baltimore. Does this mean that my vehicle got damaged durning transportation and currently being repaired therefore delayed or it’s just simply a delay during COVID and when this delay going to last?

thanks

No it probably means that they don’t have enough staff due to COVID AND the holidays so it’s likely just delayed there. Maryland is under new restrictions due to the pandemic so it could be affecting their efficiency at port.

it could also mean that the vehicle is waiting for a port-install product if you ordered some accessory that is installed at port. Often this is when carbon fiber wings or door led projectors are installed, as well as other smaller items.

no telling how long it’ll take but be patient! It could be released any day!

Hello,

did you get any updates on your car? I’m in the same boat. My 63 shows VPC received since 12/19 and no updates afterwards. It’s P1 vehicle.

Hello. I picked up the car on January 2nd, the car arrived at dealer and unloaded from a truck on December 31st. You should ask your dealer where is it at. You should get your car soon if not already at the dealer. Here are images of my car.

I requested my salesperson to check my vehicle updates and she took this picture for me. We can’t check it unless it’s a dealership. You should ask your salesperson for an update and request a status picture.

I'm looking at a used car that looks identical to your pictures. It's a 2021 with about 4000 miles. Do you still have your car or could this be yours. Thanks.

If it’s from a dealer from Dallas area then chances are it’s mine. I drove the car from Cincinnati to Dallas to trade that car in for a 2021 Lexus GX460. The dealership called Park Place. When I drove there, it does have 4000 miles even. If it’s mine car, you could ask sales person for complete maintenance record, because I gave everything to them. I did 2000 miles rear diff maintenance as well. I changed the tire to a set of Michelin All Season Tire with the original size that cost me around 1300 dollars installed, other than this, everything is stock.I ordered this car from factory. Considered it as a custom ordered car. It has everything on board except for high performance seats and aerodynamic package. I will attach a picture of VIN below so you could make sure. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, Yes I'm looking at Park Place in Dallas. I usually buy new cars, so I was apprehensive of a used car with so few miles. Just wanted to confirm that you had no problems with the car. Thanks

So you bought it, keep it for a little over 3 months and 4,000 miles and traded it in? That had to hurt.

I've driven the car and am going to make an offer on it. On the test drive it was having issues with the proximity sensors or something going off when there was nothing there. It even went off at a stop light when another car pulled up next to use, but not close at all. Is this a problem you were having with the car. Thanks,

It should have almost all the factory warranty on it or they would likely CPO it for $300 and then it is better than factory warranty.

Is this type sensor issue a common problem with these cars? It seems to go off at random times. I'm concerned that it won't go off when it should.

I have never heard any issues regarding this.

I have never had an issue either but mine is a 2019.

The proximity sensor works fine when I trade this car in. I didn’t experience this issue when I had the car.

I sign the paperwork at 12/19/2020 and took delivery of the car in January of 2021. I don’t know what date should I go with regarding the warranty, but either way, this car have almost all of its warranty.

Tell you the truth, I don’t like how this car shifts. And suspension is pretty stiff for me. However, when I have it check by two different dealers, both of them stated that the transmission is perfectly normal.

I picked the car up a couple of hours ago. Thanks again for all your info about the car. It gave me a good feeling that I wasn't buying a lemon that someone was getting rid of. I understand what you mean about the harsh shifting and the ride quality, especially in Sport+ mode. I'm used to smaller, 2 seater, sports cars that are even stiffer, so that's what I'm looking for. They did a factory reset on the car and the sensor issue seems to be resolved. Someone must have messed up some settings. My wife and I love the color combo and other specs of the car. Thanks.

Hit me up if you are ever in FTW. Larrysing and I are going to meet up soon so we may as well have a little DFW club.
