No more v8's for most 2022 models

Feel bad for anyone who was planning on ordering a 2022. Looking like the V8 variant of the GLC63(s) will only be MY 2018-2021 so maybe our cars wont depreciate as fast? Personally I may be putting my 2020 on the market soon.

I'm sure they feel that since there really isn't any competition in this segment with V8's, they can let it go without risk of losing customers. It'll definitely remain available in the more limited S-class flagships (S, SL, GLS) and AMG made cars. The question is, will it still be offered in the E-class AMG line? Audi and BMW will probably still offer the V8 turbo in their RS and M lines, so I do see it staying in this midsize class for now, but only as an AMG 63 (probably not a GLE/GLS 580).
Guys I wouldn't sleep on the GLE 63s Coupe as a suitable replacement, albeit a bit more size and price. You have to admit though, it is a better quality platform. I kind of like the idea of a CPO 2021 GLE 63s Coupe myself.

2021 GLC63
This is sad to hear as I was just talking to my local dealer Friday and we were going to put my order in for a GLC63 today. Do you guys think they’ll be available to order later in the year or early next year?

My dealer said that all of the 2021 GLC allocations are already in the system -- meaning no more new allocations. He stated that there will not be any 2022 63 or 63S AMG models, and the next AMG 63 builds would be 2023 models. I believe the 2023 models will be the new designs with only 4-cylinders, including the AMGs.
He called the factory to try and convert one of his 2021 GLC model allocations into a 63 for me, but they responded that the best they could do was a 2022 GLC 43.

2021 GLC63
I was speaking with my dealer yesterday he said the decision on the V8s isn’t final yet and that the final decision will be made no later than August 31st. It sounds to me like the decision is final but maybe we’ll get lucky and something will change.

I'm hoping that MB will at least do a short run of MY22 V8s.
I had an August build for a MY21 63, but cancelled it in April for a MY22 63S. Now I have neither.

As per my Dealer, all orders for Canadian 63 AMG are not cancelled but being delayed to August 2022.
Back in April I ordered a 2022 GLE 63S with a supposed scheduled delivery on November '21.
My 3 year lease is up in Dec '21 on my '19 GLC 63S SUV, so I guess I will buy it back until the GLE 63S gets produced....fingers crossed !
