Hey everyone. I have a 2019 GLC63S. I want to change out the screen for the android screen. Does anyone have experience with this? Any issues? is DMP still the best one? Any insight would be amazing.

DMP car design and done....install is straight forward. Takes a little bit of time to understand all the ins and outs of it, but is a nice upgrade from the stock screen.

No issues, only thing I have experienced is static when sending/receiving phone calls through left speaker. Will remedy when I get a few minutes to do so.
I just ordered the 12.3" from dpm for my glc63, I installed one on my c63s with no issues. I also installed a dpm screen for my e90 335i, no issues either. Wife has an iPhone and I have a android. Android car play and wireless apple car play work perfect. DPM also makes digital dashes for our cars but aren't selling them to the states yet :-/

Wicked. So happy to hear. I just ordered mine. Only downfall I see is that XM is still though the Mercedes’ operating. Was hoping it would have been though the screen. How’s the sound quality with the new screen ?

Audio is good, I don't notice any difference.if you are going to install it yourself, then you will want to do research. Aside from the oem audio settings, the screen has its own audio settings. If you are having someone with experience install it, they should know how to set the levels. I also had to find out how to set the boot logo to a AMG logo, I changed the default video resolution settings. Theirs a code you need to access certain menus. But DPM guys are really helpful and responsive even on the weekends.

you will want to verify with your installer, but these are my settings, Go to settings - volume, don't go to high on these settings because then you will get bad distortion, the "sound" settings are more preference. Under "factory" is where you can change the display settings, boot image, and bunch of other stuff.
When you mean “change out the screen”’ do you mean to physically remove the OEM screen and replace it with the Android physical screen? Sorry this is new to me.

Hey so all is set up. Pretty sweet actually. I might be doing this wrong so maybe you can assist. When I get into the vehicle the sirius xm is playing. I go into apple carplay and play Spotify it doesn't automatically switch. I assume because I need to go into car and change to media correct? Shouldn't it automatically do that? Next issue is that most times it doesn't recognize the media (USB) I have to unplug it and plug it back in. I'm assuming that once it recognizes the media that is when the xm stops and then I can carplay correct? Would it be easier to just plug the phone into the USB that I had ran to make sure it connects? Weird question is do I have to activate a setting for it to connect via plugged into the unit vs wireless? Sorry for all the weird questions.
I also want to use android, but I don’t want to change anything for my car. So, I bought an adapter/dongle call AI Box which runs android 11 OS. It allows me to enjoy all android apps by without change screen. Moreover, it provides the function of wired to wireless for CarPlay and Android Auto. Might be an antivirus' browser plugin blocking it. So disable that and you should be able to access it, if not it is your ISP blocking it or your VPN if you have one on. You could try a different device or use mobile data instead.

Just wondering which vehicle you have? Can I see your screen in the NTG setting ? Mine is blurry at the bottom for some reason.
those pictures were from the android screen on my c63s, today I finally found time to install the 12.3" screen on my glc63. If you install the "WhatsApp" app on your phone and contact DMP, they usually reply quick. After I finished installing my screen today, I forgot where the setting was to tell the screen to use my oem backup cam(\360 cam). I sent them a msg at 4:39pm, and they replied a minute later with the answer. I copied that same Car Display setting from my c63s screen over to my glc63 and part of the screen gets cut off when I used the back up cam, i just have to play with the rest of the display options to see which works best. I wish they had the AMG boot screen loaded by default. I'll msg them tomorrow to send the AMG boot logo to me so I can import it.
