I’ve seen plenty of posts and adverts for external door handle covers but the vast majority are for LHD models. Presumably because they’re made in China. The few RHD covers I can find are carbon fibre effect and I just want plain ol’ piano black. Does anyone know where I can get those?
Don't bother! They feel cheap, the seams digs into your fingers when you go pull the handle to open the door. Your wife will make fun of you, your girlfriend will leave you. Just get it wrapped

I had made the same judgement myself since posting and have bought some vinyl. Like you said, just do it properly
Finally got around to vinyl wrapping the chrome handles with black and they look good. way better than plastic covers and only cost £5. Bought a 1m x 20cm roll of 3M 2080 black vinyl which is enough to do all 4 handles and I spare in case you mess one up. I watched the YouTube link below and my advice is to leave the drivers door until last to hone your skills on the easier handles first. It’s actually much easier then I expected.

I installed the fake carbon overlays and was immediately disappointed. Took them off, watched the video U referenced, I still have some 3M 1080 (satin finish) that I think I'll use.

Finally got to the vinyl wrap, check out the YouTube video's especially the one for the driver side handle, all the handles were easy to remove after viewing the videos. Much better than the plastic overlays! Threw in a pic of new interior trim. I didn't like the plain silver trim. Vinyl is 3M 1080 satin, just 'cause I had some from a previous project.
Trim piece is actually two separate items. The "Carbon" like overlay is from Amazon. It is two pieces, the larger piece on the passenger side and a smaller piece next to the steering wheel, left side of the video screen.(pic. #3)
It comes with tape and sticks on the silver OEM trim piece. You have to drop the screen to put the small second piece on.(Drop the screen first!) There is a youtube video on how to do this. Easy to lower screen, took about 5 minutes. Remove the center dash speaker cover, there are two screws on either side (after U remove the speaker cover), drop the screen (no need to disconnect wires). When you apply the "Carbon" overlay piece, align from the top edge. The pieces fit perfect, no real margin. The second "AMG" trim piece I found on E-bay. Neither one of these items come with any directions!
