Permanently Disabling Auto Start/Stop (Eco Mode) on 2024 GLC 43

I’ve successfully disabled the Auto Start/Stop feature on my last three Mercedes-Benz vehicles by using an OBD-II module from a company that offered it at the time. However, I haven’t been able to find a similar solution for the 2023 or 2024 GLC models.

If anyone knows of a company currently selling an OBD-II module for this purpose, please let me know.

Additionally, would it be possible to take my vehicle to a privately owned Mercedes-Benz service shop and have them disable this feature using their scan tool?

Many forum members including me have coded off start/stop using the Launch OBDII scanner -- do a forum search on this. There's another forum thread that discusses disconnecting the alternator LIN bus, which kills start/stop as a collateral benefit. Lastly, BenzNinja can do this for you if you don't like the first two options.

Peter as mentioned is the way to go, the X254 is too new not sure if Launch can do it, there is a risk of messing something up with variant coding.

That said, I heard Peter is not coding MBUX 2 and above right now due to certain licensing issues?

One man's damage is another man's benefit (lol). I got lost a couple dozen replies into the 764 threads.

Sorry about that I think I made quite a few replies there of which is mainly me asking for help after numerous failure attempts to unplug it, which made the thread longer than it should be.

Talk to Vlad, he'll hook you up wit an OBD fix. He not only turned off the ECO Start/Stop for me, he enabled the multi-beam headlights (which on the 2020s were disabled at the factory). He's a good guy, many many many people have used him for this.
