Pull the trigger today for a GLE 450. They were not interested in talking any deal other than my USAA discount. They did not even want a deposit they are so sure they can sell it if I (actually it is for the wife) decide not to take it.
Lunar Blue Metallic, Espresso Brown/Magma Grey leather.

Got the MBUX Tech Package,
Driver Assist Package,
Parking Assist Package,
Lighting Package,
Warmth & Comfort Package,
E-ABC and
Premium Package.
Got some other non-package options,
Power Passenger seat w/mem,
Heat and Cool Cupholders,
Multicontour Seats w/Massage,
Heated and Vented Seats,
Heated Steering Wheel, 20" Wheels,
Trailer Hitch, 4-Zone Climate Control,
Heated Rear Seats,
Burmester Surround Sound.
They listed Burmester Surround Sound separately but the website had it as part of the Premium Package. On the dealers list the two added to the website price for the Premium package so I guess it doesn't matter.

They said it would be built 1st Decade of April and delivered in late April. I am hoping for June.

This will be our first MB and we are looking forward to it.

I hope you're right on the build time line. We ordered a 450 in mid-September and were assigned a mid-March build date.

I really want the massaging seats but I believe I need to choose Nappa Leather to get it. The online configurator requires black/grey Nappa when you try to add the massage seats. The dealer guide just says you need leather seats. Right now I have MB-Tex on order but I have time to change. Nappa seems too expensive to me but I would consider the regular leather. Anyone notice any difference between MB_Tex and the regular leather (non-Nappa) in terms of look/feel? Is there any benefit to upgrade to leather (I'm getting Macchiato) besides getting massage seats?

I just did an online build with massage seats and it did not require the black/grey nappa leather. It just required regular leather.

My GLS order also has the massage seats with black non-nappa leather.

As far as feel. The leather feels a little bit softer than MB-tex but not a huge difference in this generation. In previous generation, leather was much softer than MB-tex. I have not seen nappa leather in current gen so can't comment on it.

The DOG is clear that you can get the Multicontour with massage (399) with either the 20XA regular leather or 958A Nappa. However, you also need P64 passenger memory, 401 ventilated seats and, at a minimum, 902 rapid heating. So you're looking at $1,100 + 1,620 + 350 + 450 = $3,520 + whatever 902 costs as a standalone. Not inexpensive.

But so worth it, if it is within your budget. I injured my back a year or two ago and it doesn’t stand up to long drives (2+ hours or more) as well anymore. The Massage function is really effective.

The rapid heating was $500 in April when I took delivery. I’m not all that impressed with the seats, I don’t use them that much. But they were required for another package I wanted and as Greg pointed out one option requires another.... and another. When you are spending $75-85 thousand it’s a small percentage of the total so why not?

I have the MB-TEX seats and the material is fantastic IMO. I actually like it better than leather. Not sure how it will hold up long-term, but currently it feels great.

MB-tex is supposed to be much more durable and easier to take care of than traditional leather.

Brand new DOG - 01.03.2020

Finally not "preliminary" any more after 13 months! They list curb weight, but not cargo capacity.

This is a completely new format. I uploaded the largest I could (original is 25 Mb). It reads correctly for me in both Acrobat & Bluebeam. The page length varies dramatically, which means you may need to play with the magnification. Easier to read on a computer than mobile.

Has anyone noticed that there is a significant draft inside the vehicle? On my recent 1,000+ mile drive to and from Canada, I could feel the cold air coming in from outside, as soon as I would rest my elbow on the window sill. It was especially strong around the lock knob. Noise insulation is great - how does all this cold air get into the vehicle?

I haven't noticed any draft in mine. I do have the acoustic comfort package, if that makes any difference (which I doubt it would).

Both the coupe and SUV 53 is now on the UK configurator.

Some very bizarre mandatory specs and no carbon trim on either!
