2020 Mercedes GLE Interior - configurations and pictures thread
This thread is for posting different configurations of the new 2020 Mercedes GLE interior, as well as general interior pictures. Feel free to post pictures you find or take here.
Synthetic upholstery with Metal Weave trim. I had similar upholstery in my 2006 ML and liked it. Dinamica I wish there were a Leather/Dinamica option, but this is my present order selection.
MB-Tex w/ DINAMICA inserts, metal weave trim MB-Tex w/ DINAMICA inserts, metal weave trim MB-Tex w/ DINAMICA inserts, metal weave trim MB-Tex w/ DINAMICA inserts, metal weave trim

This is Espresso Brown/Magma Grey leather from the Daimler Global Media site. However, production version of this appears to have all brown seats like second photo. Apparently we don't get this version Espresso Brown/Magma Grey leather
I have determined my build and am ordering my car this week. Overall I am a little disappointed with the leather choices - none of the leather colors are any more richer or interesting than what is offered in the MB Tex. I intend on getting the following
Black/Tartufo leather
Aluminum trim
Black Headliner
In reading through the 88 page prior thread it seems like nobody is selected that interior. I am pretty confident most on this forum have more sense than me, so I have to ask if there is something wrong with the choice and if I am missing anything?
(I initially was going with walnut trim and a crystal grey headliner but after sitting in every car at the MB dealership to get a feel for the interior colors I am going with aluminum/black hl.

I am with you on the interior selections - very conservative/tepid. I would kill for a Saddle Tan leather! Anyhow, taste in materials and colors is very personal. Here's what yours will look like:
2019 Dune Silver Metallic E-450 Mercedes Cabriolet NEW Mercedes 2020 GLC300 graphite gray SUV
Such dark, dark interiors...why this obsession? Even their brown interiors are dark. Give us at least one light interior combination that doesn't include black.

Totally agree. You can get Macchiato, but that's almost white. Saddle tan, or even a bold red would be great!
I wanted to go with Macchiato leather but my wife reminded me how easily it gets dirty, even from the dye in blue jeans. But I do like the lighter interiors.
Here are some pics of the Dinamica/MB-Tex sport seat upholstery, along with the Flamed Open Pore Black Ash trim. The seats are very comfortable, (and will be cool in Summer & warm in Winter) but may not have the richness and $84k car deserves. Looks a little darker IRL. I'm disappointed in the trim; does not look like $850. Could be plastic if you didn't know better. Would look much better with Macchiato. I should have gone with Metal Weave.

I think your interior looks quite nice, I especially like the AMG touches (steering wheel, pedals). And the trim looks fine in the pics but it did look a bit plastic in the GLE 450 I test drove, still it went well with the Macchiato MB-Tex. I haven't seen the metal weave in person but it may look good with your dark interior. And I'm with you on your thoughts about the new interiors lacking some richness for the pricing. The Dinamica/MB-Tex sport seat upholstery looks very durable. Overall, the exterior and interior goes well together and you had to order all of if sight unseen. Congrats again.

I have to say that I share your view. The Flamed Open Pore Black Ash trim is clearly the darkest trim and Dinamica (microfiber) and MB-Tex (man-made "leather") is probably not something we are expecting from a luxury car.
Personally, I had (nearly) no choice and I will get the Anthracite open-pore oak wood trim with nappa leather black. My configuration is clearly nearly as dark as yours but if it has to be dark it's probably more something one can expect from a luxury car of $74K.
I was told Sept/Oct delivery but not holding my breath. Hoping for holidays/Christmas delivery at least though! I was told the spoiler will have to be installed at the dealer though. Everything else went through.

I like the look of this combo and would like to see it in person.
Hi All, I've got a lot of information from these forums so thought I'd help out on this thread with a few photos of the black / tartufo interior in our new GLE which just got delivered in Sydney Australia. Personally I'm happy with it however just be aware its more grey / teal than the equivalent BMW interior with the same name.

I like it a lot! 1,000x better than the depiction in the order guide.
