I was skimming though some of these pages (admittedly not all) looking for Macchiato interiors... and had the understanding that the headliner is beige. My new 450 has a black headliner - isn't that unusual?
Didn't realize there was an option to get black headliner when I placed my order. Was delivered with Macchiato Beige headliner.
Thank you. Headliner colour was not an option I was presented with. Suede in black is an option, but requires a switch from Macchiato. The original sales order was silent on headliner, but I would have preferred the beige.
Looks like maybe the factory made the decision for me, like how they did not add the dash cam even though it was ordered.
You may be able to add the dashcam after. My understanding AFAIK is if you have "Augmented Reality" feature you can add it. If you can confirm that I would be interested in whether or not you dealer will do add it for you.

I’ll ask tomorrow when I pick it up. I believe AR nav is a standard feature on Canadian 450s.
For model year 2021, if you choose Macchiato MB-Tex, headliner is also Macchiato (beige) and no other option. If you choose Macchiato Leather, you get black headliner and no other option.
The only time you can choose your headliner color is when you have Black or Espresso Brown MB-Tex & Leather, or the Tartufo:

I have a 2021 450 w/Macchiato leather and if you look at my spec sheet, I have Macchiato Beige headliner (55U).

I took a look at the 2022 order guide and it's the same options, wondering if there's actual discrepancy between the order guide and the actual ordering platform by dealers. Was this a custom order? If so, did you sit with the sales person when going through all the options while looking at their monitor?

If you are asking me, then yes it was a custom order but no, I didn’t attend the dealer until last week, when I inspected it (we were under stay-at-home order at the time of configuration). I spoke to the sales manager on the phone and he noted all the options I wanted. I confirmed upon receiving the detail sheet and there was no mention of headliner colour. It did show up on the recent printouts as we were finalizing the financial details. No worries, through. The black is fine, light enough of an interior with the light seats and wood.

Mine was a custom order - I sat with my salesperson to go over the options I wanted. I assume he picked the Macchiato Beige headliner as I was unaware of the choices available.

I had the running boards but now when I changed to a hybrid of the GLE I optioned without them as getting inans out of the car is a pain with those.
picked up my 450 on the 29th of may. have the airmatic and the running boards. the running boards look great but are a major pain in the *** to get in and out. might serve as protection from losers slamming their doors into it and to help dry the roof when washing myself but had I to do it again I would not get them. the airmatic is a revelation. very very comfortable and it does tighten things up a bit in sport mode. not a sports vehicle but happy with the purchase. also stuck with 20 inch wheels which look very good for a benz and dont ruin the ride.
No. I got word today my replacement is delayed at the factory.
Mine sat for just over a month. Some moron stuck the tape explaining one hold up on the lower windshield. I found it several months later. There was another on a lower rocker panel that was illegible but I’m guessing that they added the rockers later judging from the poor fit. Replace front bumper so my car might have had an accident before it shipped.
Replaced the rear badges today with black badges. Next up is to black out the chrome window trim but not sure when I'll get some time to do that. it seemed some of the original letters were a little crooked.

3M makes some good blackout tape. I did my hatch Crome piece 6 months ago and still looking good. The night package might look good on white.

I ordered up the 3m tape so we'll see how steady my hand is. By the time I decided to add the night package to my order, it was already locked. I really just wanted the window trim and wheels as I wasn't fully sold on the mirror caps and other black trim.
