Original order was placed Oct last year, confirmed Nov - went into production mid Jan - got a VIN .....20xxx, expected end of March - that got stuck in B4 status - never showed up. SA was advised to reorder in late Apr. - took that opportunity to drop MBUX Interior Assist (rather have sunglass storage), add 21" multi spoke wheels and Acoustic Comfort Package (which was dropped on the first order)

Tinman - thanks!

Tery - #2 entered production 1st week in Aug w/ delivery scheduled for end of Sept. I was told it was tracking on time but was offered this unallocated unit which arrived w/ matching equipment 2 weeks ago which I accepted. Didn't have a VIN for #2 so won't know what happened to it - someone else gets lucky I guess.
Tinman - thanks!

It's a stand-alone option for our friends in Canada....as far as I know, cannot get this on US spec GLE's.

This option is new for us Canadians this model year and didn't initially appear in the online builder (like the acoustic comfort package which still isn't shown), my SA pointed it out while picking options.
There are no visible heating elements - will get to see how well it works in about 2 1/2 months.

"In terms of thickness everything is OK. In addition, it is a natural product with leather, since small irregularities can occur, of course, everything should be sewed clean!
1. Quality is not this:
- Uneven seam pattern
- Different stitch lengths
- Different distances of the seam
- no straight seams (wavy on the headrests, also on the side door)
- wrong (under) and thread tension and possibly
- Wrong bobbin thread color (because it is so bright eg to recognize at the upper edge of the back seat),
- no clean turning technique (on the upper edge of the back seat: inner edges are not on one side or were not opened and flattened - so bulging)
For decorative seams in contrasting colors, special requirements must be fulfilled - albeit otherwise for decorative seams: this applies to a uniform stitch length pattern, uniform seam spacing and also a clean transfer of the so-called seam allowances (inside).
The leather as a natural product has different structures, has nothing to do with the processing: 'decorative seams for first-class seats'.
Not in this segment."

Sorry to have to say that (it's not against you bob01), but the quality of the sewing of the leather is a shame. Look at the rear of the driver seat. There is some threads on German forums about that and someone with some expertise about leather wrote:
