aluminum trim
Not the greatest pic, but here's the aluminum trim...I think it will work well with our all black interior.

Bumping this thread. Anyone own any black/black interior with the aluminum trim? If so, could you please post photo of the interior? The photo provided earlier doesn't really help.
I placed my order yesterday with aluminum trim. I originally wanted the metal weave trim but it won't be available until January 2010 production. Decided on aluminum because, like OP, feels like it'll pop out more with the black/black interior.

Here are some screenshots of one from a dealer's website:

It looks...ok. I might end up changing the trim

Switching/Trading Interior Trim
I'm in negotiations on a 2020 GLE with the metal weave trim. I prefer the Natural Grain Grey Oak trim. Apparently, in order to change this out (according to the Mercedes Service Dept) is I have to locate a car with the trim and provide the VIN number on the vehicle so they can order the part. I was quoted ~$1500 to change it out! Is this right? While I don't like the weave trim, it seems crazy to pay more money to remove an "upgrade" and switch it out. I saw a couple posts about trades. Anyone know how easy this would be to do? thanks

For most car trims, it’s as simple as popping them off with a trim remover. That is unless there’s a screw hidden somewhere. I would only remove it if I had the car repair manual. There’s no way I’d pay that much for trim removal and Installation.
