GLE 2020 user manual

Hi. Where can I find GLE 2020 manuals? MBUSA has up to 2019 model year, but nothing for 2020. Almost ready to order one, want to read up on MBUX and other stuff beforehand. Yes, I am that ****....

So let me ask this, on the order sheet for my GLE450 it says 93L gas tank which equates to 24.6 gallons but the published gas tank size is 22.5 gallons and in the manual is says of which reserve is 2.4 gallons so I wonder if that reserve is just part of the main 22.5 gallons tank or in addition? I know the wording is very obvious but sometimes can be construed differently base on the published specs..

I wondered that initially, but it's pretty consistent. Here's what I found:
  • Owner's Manual: 22.5 gal including 2.4 gal reserve
  • DOG: 22.5 gal
  • MBUSA tech specs: 22.5 gal
  • Daimler 11-21-18 press release: 22.5 gal including 2.4 gal reserve
My W166 ML had a tank capacity of 24.6 gal including a 3.2 gal reserve. I assume since this model gets better mileage they were comfortable making the tank a couple gallons smaller.

I totally agree with you. It makes sense. I have seen reviews hitting 25 to upper 20s for average driving with mostly highway so it evens out. Kinda like that big gas tank but whatever.

But looking back at my early order sheets it does list a 93 liter fuel tank, so that's odd.

The Canadian DOG shows 915 as an 80L fuel tank.

So now we have 80, 85 & 93 liters! 85 is the most commonly quoted. 93 is what the W166 had.

The US user Manual lists fuel capacity at quote “22.5 gallons (85 liters) Of Which 2.4 gallons is Reserve (9 liters)” That would be the correct number unless there is more than one tank.....highly unlikely!

I'm glad it wasn't just me wondering about the size of the GLE fuel tank... it even changed between March and June spec sheets for Australia!
