Tried getting the original MB tray and it keeps getting delayed from the parts store so I just went for the cheaper version from ebay and it is actually a good product. It does not feel flimsy at all. Only thing I did not like is the AMG stamp on the rubber and was hoping it was plain or at least a MB logo on it.

I bought a similar tray. not that I didn't like the rubber mat in mine, i didn't like the noise when something hard bumped the side of the tray. i got rid of the rubber mat and put in sticky back felt. I lined nearly 100% of the tray and it'd definitely much quieter and doesn't aggravate me as much. The felt is basically like the felt or material at the bottom of the center console. The only issue I need to address is that areas where I have the felt going over sharp or rolled edges as it doesn't like to stay down.

Ordered the sill guard from China and to the dealer to compare. Was surprised that the dealer said "part coming from germany" odd as the vehicle is being made in USA and was expecting that small piece to come some where else but not Germany. Received both and the piece from China is crap. It is so thin and have sharp edges. It went back the same day after receiving it and the one from MB is the one to get. Also surprised it is indeed made in Germany. So to those wanting to get a bumper guard fork up and pay for the real thing. I'm just waiting for the spoiler to come in which they said they don't have ET on and also coming from Germany.

Many parts in the GLE are made in Germany, this is not surprising.

After waiting for almost 2 months the spoiler came. It actually made a little commotion in the service center when I opened the box as no one has seen one in person. It is like a big reveal. Even the service manager came to look at it. Did a test fit and looks good, real good and it completes the back end of the GLE. Now it goes to the body shop for painting. Spoiler is made in Austria. Now I am waiting for the 21" AMG rims and I was told 3 weeks to deliver.

To those who has the spoiler can you take a close picture of the 4 legs as there are rubber pieces that came with the spoiler and no installation instruction. I know the spoiler is just secured via 3M tape but I am not sure how the rubber seats below the legs.

I tried to order the night package but my order was locked by the time I decided to add it. I thought I'd like the darker wheels as well as the black window trim but I really like the gray wheels. Wasn't satisfied with the chrome window trim so ordered the black trim. Although it cost a lot more to do it this way, as I spent more on the trim then what the night package would have cost, I'm satisfied with how everything turned out.

tell me about it. If I ordered the vehicle with the 21" rims it would only costed me $1000 but right now I am paying close to $8k for the entire setup.

I ordered the Amazon glove box organizer. It looks better in person than on Amazon. Very happy! Found it thanks to this forum - I don't troll Amazon for car accessories normally.

Go to the "parts for sale" section. There are a couple of sets of 21" wheels and tires available for under $3k, right now.

Much appreciated. Checked with 3 of my local Mercedes dealerships. 2 quoted me $765 and the 3rd quoted me $837 with ETA of 1 week out of Dallas.
Does the price sound about right?

.
If you order the spoiler while building your car, the cost is $650 according to https://www.mbusa.com/en/vehicles/bu...e/suv/gle450w4 (scroll down).

Getting it done afterwards is always a bit more expensive than ordering from the factory. The actual part itself can be found cheaper at "genuine" online stores like https://www.mbonlineparts.com/oem-pa...med-1677930400 but then you have to add the painting step, plus the installation which I understand is a piece of cake (just double-sided tape?). I've ordered parts from similar online stores and have had some success, though returns are extremely difficult (I can't remember if it was specifically that site, but I tried for 2 months to contact someone for a return and never succeeded). So you get a discount in exchange for being on your own. I assume the quotes you got include painting and installation?

Thank you much Maloox. The link you sent has the spoiler $200 cheaper than the lowest quote I received from Mercedes dealerships. By the way, they quoted me the spoiler primed, not painted.

Wireless charger

With no availability when ordered and currently still no stock due to chip shortage, my GLE came without the wireless charging function which, at $200, is a no brainer when building.
I was able to find an interesting alternative which looks not too invasive or out of place in the cupholder compartment. Price wasn't too bad in my opinion and reviews were good. Purchased through Amazon and shipped from China.

After months of being lazy I had time today to put it in. Also noticed that a lot of the people posting their spoilers are missing the black plastic trims on the four legs of the spoiler. It cleans up the back end of the legs. Not sure if the dealer who installed the spoilers on your car got lazy in putting in those black trims or the parts were missing. Debated not putting them in but decided to place them after starring at it for a few minutes. The back end of the GLE looks complete with the spoiler hands down.

Mine was also missing from build. However, is it my understanding that the charger doesn't work well with the iPhone 13 as the camera lenses protrude from the back of the phone. As a result, the phone doesn't lay flat on the pad. In addition, phone needs to be connected via USB-C port in order to use CarPlay. Therefore, it will be charging anyway.

OOPS, looks like I was replying to an old post.

There’s a software update for the charging cradle to charge the 13 and 14 ask your dealer to update it.

It came primed. The spoiler costed me around $700 then $150 for the paint.
