Middle seat of the second row uncomfortable
I'm concerned that the middle seat of the second row is rather uncomfortable. At least for an adult.

Do you have the same feeling?

Is there something we can do to enhance this?

The shape of the inner seat cushion indeed looks strange even for a infant car seat base to fit in.

On my current GLE, the metal clip you have to have for child car seat is only on the two outer seats. I don't think the middle seat is meant to have a car seat.

MB pretends the second row is meant for three child seats: "As in the previous model, three child seats can be installed next to one another in the second seat row."

Did someone order the comfort package for the 2nd-row seats? With such a package, 2nd-row seats are slightly different (see photo) and I was wondering if this package does not improve the middle seat of the second row?

The pic is of the Exclusive Nappa Leather. No "Comfort Package" in the US.

My wife and I have four children and they'll soon be teenagers. I do not see myself telling them "You guys go ahead. I'll drive separate" Would you tell this to your children?
