......the top of the tires to the start of the fenders. Such a large gap. Looks awkward. I realize with air suspension I could lower the body of the car. But having a really bad experience in the past with air suspension I never considered it. This vehicle could easily be lowered 4-6 inches to make it look better.

So, are my only options to go with 21 inch wheels?

We have the standard steel suspension, but went with the 20" twin five-spokes which IMO fill the wheel well and look better than the standard 19's.

Yes, the 20 or 21" rms do fill out the wheel wells better. Personally, I think the AMG line without the black plastic that surrounds the wheel well also makes a huge difference.

Yeah on standard wheels the gap is hideous imo. That's why I went with the 21's and added AIRMATIC to be able to further lower if needed, also to control body roll.

Edit: looking at this on my tablet vs phone, I can see the molding isn’t missing.
You appear to be missing the front wheel arch moldings. Also 20 & 21 Mercedes wheels have tires with less section height as the wheel size increases to keep the diameter the same. So going to a 20 or 21 would only gain about an inch total or half of that on top and each side if my info is correct. Wheel molding will get you more for less $ and you could remove rear and have them painted as an option.

You can change to 255/55-19s when you get new tires, which will gain almost an inch in diameter to be closer to the others in diameter. I don't know why the 19s are so undersized.
