Seat kinetics
I’ve had our GLE350 for a couple of weeks. I couldn’t find any postings on this so thought I’d mention. Took it to dealer because seat kinetics works on drivers side only. Screen shows active for front passenger seat but actually does nothing. Dealer said driver’s seat is only one supposed to have kinetics and software erroneously shows passenger seat. Re-programming will eliminate the passenger display capability.

Dang. Think I'll call corp MB and ask them about it. This is not the massage feature, I did not put that into the build. But mine definitely shows the driver and passenger seats both working on the screen, but the passenger seat actually does nothing. They told me it was because there was no lumbar adjustment in the passenger seat. Hmmmmm......... Think I'll call.

Seat kinetics
It is functional if you have the memory option, I believe, as in my post above. If you needed massage it wouldn't work in the driver's seat, either.

We have a Canadian 350 (if that makes any difference) w/ regular seats, both w/ seat memory - kinetics work on both sides - no massage feature.

Sounds like seat memory is the difference. I have regular seats w/o massage, but memory on driver’s side only. Disappointed - the kinetics is a better feature than I expected when ordering.

......and, just looked - that is a $350 option that includes 4 way lumbar support for passenger seat. Saw somewhere else on here that lumbar support made a difference. Wish I’d known when ordering. Would have included. No mention on website build.

Too bad, in the UK the MB website creates a confusion and one can think that the massage system is included in the Premium Plus Package (see description: https://www.mercedes-benz.co.uk/pass...es.module.html )

I've checked mine for seat kinetics option and I cannot find anything.
I have full electric seats with memory on both drivers and passengers side. They are also heated and cooled. No massage option.
What is actually missing? Is there an option to activate this function via dealer?
I've seen some replied that it's not necessarily to have massage function in order to get kinetic seats. Car is 2018 w213 produced in Germany if that matters. Cheers

I find Mercedes approach to options to be really annoying. Very hard to find cars that are built properly. BMW and Audi make this much simpler with three tiers of bundled options.
Yesterday I was looking at a well equipped GLE580 with an MSRP of $95k only to notice it didn't have the MBUX Technology package.
