Mercedes Me Outage

The Mercedes Me system is not working on my 450 GLE - so I called the Mercedes Me help line and was told they "are in an outage" and did not know when it would be active again. Another failure for Mercedes! I am so tired of these kinds of problems with a car I waited for over 6 months to arrive. Mercedes is not the company I remember - I have owned more than 15 Mercedes over the past 25 years and am so disappointed with this car. I have 3000 miles on it and am ready to trade it today! It is fully loaded with E-ABC etc. I really want it to be a keeper but at this rate it won't see a year in my garage or will another Mercedes! I am done with them. Rant over.

My App works fine. Maybe it was a short outage!

Nope - still out - might be a East Coast thing. This is the app in the car - not on the phone/computer.

I'm on east coast, and it worked fine for me yesterday during my evening commute and even today. That's a different story that i am not a fan of it in the first place and its a gimmick for most part. My BMW speech recognition works much better and is not constantly apologizing for it :-)

Mine is still not working so I called Mercedes Me again and got the same cryptic response. I am so fed up with Mercedes and their lack of customer service. The dealer just shrugs his shoulder and says he can't help. I am done with Mercedes - At the end of the month I am buying a Porsche Panamera! Anybody interested in a fully loaded 430 GLE?

For me it's an issue with logging into the web portal App seems to work ok but when I try to login on the web portal, after entering user name and password it takes me to a blank screen. Have only just bought the car and trying to add my wife as a user and not able to do it. Tried contacting Mercedes (via Twitter as there doesn't seem to be a support number anywhere) and they effectively shrug their shoulders. THis is my 1st Merc - is their tech always abandoned like this?

The entire MBUX MercedesMe ecosystem they have is under construction from what I've seen.
If you browse through the websites and the app you will notice many disconnects in the features and language.
Sometimes when I login it doesn't have my vehicle in there, at other times it tells me that I need to activate it.
You may want to try a different browser and disable any adblocks you might have. Its very slow on Safari.

Ive been trying to decide if I want to upgrade or not and if I do, do I get a 450 or wait on the 53 or 589. I’m leaning towards the 580.

I am experiencing the same thing. Was working previously and just suddenly stopped working in the past week.
I've contacted the Mercedes Me support team and they're looking into it.

Just called Mercedes Me Connect support in the UK - they're aware of the blank page on login issue and its priority for the UK team to get it fixed soon asap.

I also tried and failed to set up the Mercedes Me Connect app after receiving my GLE350 last weekend. I called customer support and the person, who didn't seem like they knew what they were doing, simple said I have no clue why you are not seeing the services. She then said she would send the issue to Germany and that I wouldn't hear anything for a few weeks. Awesome.

For the price we are paying for these cars, the customer service is shockingly bad. Having owned Audi's Jeep's etc.. they are all the same...bad.

For those in the UK, there is a workaround...

go to www.mercedes-benz.ie and log in there. It will keep trying to send you back to the .co.uk site, but just keep clicking on close.

Once you're logged in, you can click on your name (top right), and then select vehicles, and then you're in.

Does anyone have trouble accessing the MercedesMe portal? It's been timing out for me for at least 3 days now.
App works fine, and I tried accessing the website from home and work (https://www.mbusa.com/mercedesme/index).

I find both the app and the portal to be hit and miss in Australia. Lately it's reasonably good but sometimes it just doesn't work for no reason or is seriously laggy.

I also find feature parity to be an odd thing given I can open windows/sunroof on the web but not using the app.

Add another item to lack of parity..... Unless it changed recently, vehicle tracking works on the web but not with the App. This seems just the opposite of what we need.

Both the app and the web portal work have been working for me for the past week. Quite useful as I've been traveling and hundreds of miles away from the car, good for peace for mind. While checking, just noticed a (new) new map version is available for manual update, will post about it in the other thread.
