just spent a couple of hours last weekend installing a dashcam into my wife's 2020 GLE350
it was a pain in the *** to tuck away all the wires in the headliner and pillar areas
and it was a MAJOR pain in the *** trying to find the fuse boxes and right fuses
ran the wire to the cargo area
tapped the green fuse on left for constant power and the 2nd yellow fuse for ACC
AND WHERE IS THE DAMN BATTERY in this car? is it in the engine bay under the panel where the jump starting clamp points are? or under a seat?

For the headliner, if you have a trim removal tool, its easier to put that in and get a gap to push the wire in. As for the A Pillar, its very easy to remove. Only held by 1 clip and you can remove the entire thing.
As for the battery, its located under the driver seat.

I have the new DR750X-2CH that has the built in equivalent to power magic pro in-camera.
I’ve had mine installed and it seems whatever circuit the installer used times out and turns off after 2 hours.
My daughters Kia with the same camera allows her camera to stay running all night without draining the car battery or turning off.
Could MB have a timed shutoff for power for some circuits? If so is there a constant power somewhere I can get my installer to change to?
Otherwise I may need them to run a new fuse direct from battery?
Shane.

Interesting you say this. Perhaps the circuit mine is on is similar.

Does anybody know how you take off the plastic caging on the front of the fuse box? I’m trying to access fuse F417, but it’s underneath that caging. My ambient lighting has stopped working, so I want to try and reset it by taking the fuse out and re-inserting it.

On the top of the fuse box in the right rear, there is a paper booklet attached with the Schematic of the entire vehicle electrical layout.
