LOWERING CAR WHEN PARKED

I have found the option to lower the car while parked very useful (we often carry an old large dog). I would like this to happen each time the car is in park. Has anyone found if this is possible and if so how?

You should do some searching, this has been extensively discussed

Not possible, has to be activated each time.

Unfortunately. Not too convenient.

It would be better if it lowered every time.

Would make getting in and out easier and the car would also look nicer lowered to it's maximum position.

I guess it's to prevent a situation where a driver parks over a curb and then the car lowers itself on top of the curb after and causes damage to the under body.

The system should give us the option to choose for drivers who are more careful about that and want that feature enabled.

I’m not sure why it wouldn’t have the lean feature from factory but I am sure the folks at RENNtech are developing their suspension module for the new GLE. Once in use you can leave the vehicle at your desired lowered height and it will raise to the oem height once the vehicle reaches about 30 mph and will return below that speed.

There are other feature switches that don’t work right, IMO.
My mirror fold on locking keeps resetting to on, lasts about a week when I set to off.
Lane Keep reset to on until a recent coding change.
Driving mode and lower on entry both should stay as set. There is no logical reason for any of these settings to change as the ignition cycles.

Has anyone else noted that ride height changes for no reason? I keep having to change my rear view mirror setting not each drive but frequently. Recently I was at a stoplight I noticed the nose lifting. Had driven about a mile in C with vehicle empty. If there hadn’t been a car in front of me I wouldn’t have noticed. This will be a tough one to show my dealer.

I didn't notice ride height change by itself on low speed, but I did encounter the car rise (after turning on auto lowering on exit) for no reason after the car is parked.

Confused about ride height changing and having to change rear view mirror setting, surely the rear view mirror stays in same position relative to seat setting regardless of ride height, certainly does in mine.
Never had ride height change for no reason, must be another gremlin in your car Ron.

Is it possible that you have the car lowered on parked, and it starts to raise when it is above a set speed which "cancel" the lowering car when parked feature? Or does it do it throughout the drive and not just one time?

It shouldn't, but mine also does randomly raise itself after parked (engine off)
