high-pitched whistling sound
I purchased a 2020 GLE350 a few months ago. Has anyone else noticed a whistling sound outside the drivers window when driving above 70mph? I don't hear it at lower speeds but once I get on the highway, I can certainly hear it. It's not overwhelming but certainly noticeable and annoying. I had a 2017 GLE and this was not an issue. I didn't order the acoustic comfort package but I didn't think I would hear so much noise outside the window on a $70,000+ car.

Yea, I have noticed that as well and fully expect it. However, what I'm talking about is the windows fully up and hearing a whistling noise coming from outside the vehicle on the driver's side.

I agree with you. Mine has it as well. They kept the vehicle for a month and supposedly they fixed it. The sound is back and it drives me insane among the rattle around headliner and Around the back of my driver seat.

They kept if for a month? Wow! What did they end up doing/replacing?

They replaced the side mirror, it made the sound lower, but now it is back again. The other thing I am dealing with is the jerky transmission. I hate how it is not smooth at all, hoping they fix that issue.

On my old 2001 BMW E38 740i, I remember people having the same car mentioning a similar issue. Noise that seemed to come from the windshield area. It turned out there was a loose piece of trim in the underbody that resonated through the body and A-pillar. Might be worth looking into.

The side mirror was my suspect as well. Not sure how replacing it with the exact part would fix. I contacted the dealership I purchased from to raise the issue. Maybe they have already dealt with it. I bet its quite common and most people don't realize it. If you have music on at all you won't hear it.

I have the same issue, but i've also had annoying wind noises on my last 2 cars as well (07 g35x, 13 gs350). At this point, unless someone here has a clear fix, I try to ignore it before starting up a storm with the dealer.

I also experienced wired sound when the fan is open. They replaced the air blow, engine mounts and two other parts, the sound is significantly reduced but still exits.

Just wondering, do you have the larger moonroof on your vehicles? In y prior car that was the culprit.
