The tow hook in the front is located just left of the Mercedes logo on a AMG exterior, correct? The manual says to push it, however I can not remove the cover. I also tried pulling it but I don’t want to break it. Has anyone tried to install the tow eye in the front yet? If so, how did you remove the cover?

Try pushing on the bottom if remember correctly. It should “pop” open from the top.

Just tried that but no luck there... I’m pushing and pulling it enough for the plastic to bend. I even tried fitting a flat head in the small gap and popping it out but with no success. I could really put more force with the screw driver but don’t want to ruin the cover because I’d like to be able to pop it back in place. Attached a picture just in case.

The instructions are ****-poor. “Press the mark.” I don’t see a mark. Couldn’t figure it out either.

Isn't there a little raised triangle indicating where to push down? It might be in the black "honeycomb" weave.

I do not see that in mr. guzzi's photo, nor did I see it in mine when I looked last night (car is not here now). I did try pressing in that area, though, to no avail. It does look like it should release from the top, not the bottom.
