That's a pretty succinct summary for your second post on the forum. Would you care to expand a bit more, because you come across like an adolescent troll. There is plenty to like about this car, despite some issues some owners may have encountered.

I have had the last 4 gle 350 one being ml .
This care handles like a 1980's caddy around turns , has no pickup at all . all the sensors around the car are way to sensitive

Steel or pneumatic suspension? Neither one floats like an old 80s Cadillac marshmallow suspension.

No pick up you say, so what do you have, Inline turbo 4 or Inline turbo 6, or do you have the V8?
Edit: I just noticed you have an inline turbo 4 (GLE350). My suggestion, try before you buy. the 350 is plenty good for many people. Myself, I wanted a bit more oomph. No other engines were available to order a year ago when I placed my request.

Also, you can adjust the sensors' sensitivity. It's not too hard to do.

If you are going to rant, give some juicy details, we just might be able to help you.

It does have a few quirks but I wouldn't say its the work suv MB ever made .
The care handles well in my opinion , although I do agree, some of the sensors can be a tad to sensitive

This thread should be closed. Who buys a regular production vehicle without a test drive? The "worst" SUV Mercedes has ever made was the original ML.

I think the GLE is a great WORK SUV (I’m comparing it on the older GLE since my new one hasn’t arrived yet). It tows my boat, carries my kid back and forth to school, carries my family to Disney quiet often, handles a bike in the hatch area, carries things on the roof, takes a 4 bike rack where ever I want it to, allows me to carry 5 people at once, too many grocery store visits to count, has been to Costco once or twice (actually 100+), goes through any snow we have had with no problems, delivered I don’t know how many craft beers to my house for storage, and stands up to any trolls!
I think it is such a great WORK suv that I’m replacing it with an even better one.

2020 GLE 450
I went to the dealership last night to pick up my GLE 450 and so far I'm loving it. I did test drove the GLE 350 and I wasn't crazy about it, I felt there wasn't enough power since my current car was the GLC43 AMG. The GLE 350 isn't the SUV for everyone, this is why some people opt for the GLE 450, GLE 580 or AMG models. For you to say the GLE 350 is the worst SUV Mercedes ever made, you got no clue what you're talking about... The worst Mercedes SUV is the ML!!

Well first you bought the 2020 GLE 350 with the 4banger. Does not make sense to buy that if you want pickup and 0-60 lol. Handling? SUV's do not handle at all. It's a big car. Sounds like you should of bought a Corvette or 911 instead of a GLE LOL.

GLE Exclusive 2020
If the worst car Merc ever made was the ML, my wife had a 2009 and it was a great car. I pushed her to upgrade to the GLE450, I like it , she's a little intimidated by all the electronics.

I went from a 2016 gle350 to the 2020. I did test drive it. It is a bold statement to make, agree. I just think its more a mom's car now. The previous model handled more sporty. whatever don't crucify me for hating a car. If someone asked me I would not recommend this car. I can't wait to get out of it and switch to x5 .
I am sure the bigger engine is nicer to have but the discount on the 350 was much more attractive then the 450

if you did in fact test drive it, didn't like it compared to your old one and felt its a mom's car. why in your right mind would you sign papers to put yourself in it for a few years and than say you can't wait to get in a BMW. As stated above gentleman this is nothing short of someone TROLLING

You don't have a GLE. I have also driven both models and there is barely any difference in the handling. If anything the new one feels lighter and sportier. And if you look at what cars I have owned, you will notice I know a thing about sporty driving cars.

Sounds like user error. Gotta test drive better!

As with any car the options can make a big difference. The GLE is more of a Luxurious car to drive than a Sporty one. It has a linear throttle so the power is deceptive. With the 450 engine and Air or E-ABC you can tweak the suspension-Drive Mode and get it to feel more sporty with decent performance. Buyers remorse at these price points is understandable but as you said you made a decision to save a little $. Most of us love the car. I have a Sporty Audi SUV but like my GLE better except maybe speeding on a curvy road where the higher center of gravity and lack of torque vectoring are a factor.

My GLE53 handles like a sports car, even in comfort I think it’s a bit harsh. Maybe due to the 21” wheels. I love it so far, AMG ride control let’s you feel connected with the big suv. I came from W208/W209 heavily modified background, I think GLE provides good chassis. You need to pick the right option to go with it.

To each their own, I guess. I made the same move from a 2015 ML 350 to the 2020 GLE 350. I ordered mine and was skeptical of going from a 6 cylinder engine to a turbo 4 cylinder engine, but I had to have it sooner than later and the 450 build time wasn’t reliable, thanks to the info I learned here.

I had driven the 4 cylinder MB’s in Europe and the engine in my 2020 GLE 350 was very similar to them. Unlike the reduced horsepower, if you look at the torque ratings between the ‘15 and the ‘20 models, they’re very similar. I have found the ability to accelerate into traffic and make high speed passes in freeway travel to be very similar, as well, which is important to me. It’s a little buzzier when you accelerate to make those moves, but that’s inherent in the 4.

After 5 months and 14K miles, I am very pleased with the way the car runs and looks. I went with the AMG exterior/wheels/tires look and get compliments every day. The technological advances in the MBUX system and interior finishes (except for the plastic lower door panels) are a step above the previous models as well.

Overall, I am very pleased with my 2020 GLE 350. If you don’t like the new smaller engine setups, complain to your local politicians. The new CAFE requirements are driving the change to smaller engines and electrics across all automobile brands.

What an idiotic thread. Can’t believe several of you actually provide proper reasoning in your responses.

Thread title obviously was aimed for a strong reaction but nothing the guy says makes any sense. The old GLE was literally better at nothing (I know; actually had one of those). One could argue about a v6 vs inline 4 but both are anemic; they are adequate but not much more.

It is all about expectations. Keep them in check and you will be happy with the Turbo 4. The exact same discussion was in play when I ordered my 2017 E300 sedan 3 years ago. Used it for 3 years 37K miles and really enjoyed it. Never experienced poor performance and it ran flawlessly. It was returned at lease end and picking up my GLE 350 on Tuesday. I have no worries about the vehicle as I did test drive it extensively and my expectations are in check. It is not a GLE580 but that is not what I needed (although it would be nice to have)..

I agree with its about managing your expectations. I test drove the 350 vs 450 may times before I decided on the 450 what sold me on the 450 besides it being an I6 is the 48 volt technology. It adds so much refinement to the performance and smoothness of the engine.
