Windshield mounted gate pass issues
Have yet to find any “sweet spot” on windshield of 2020 450 GLE to mount and get effective reading of community gate pass!
suspect a “film” or material within glass inhibiting signal transmissions. Has any one found a work around or soloution?
I am trying various positions on windshield as suggested by info available.. but still baffled. THANKS

Do you have ACP? If so there should be two small areas on front windshield. One is at the top near the rear view mirror and I think the other is down at the bottom in the center. If you get in the car in the sunlight and stand off to an angle to the front windshield you can usually see cut outs in the front glass. (I’m assuming yours is similar to my E class windshield with the ACP)
Good luck.
Good luck.

See https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...rage-gate.html for placement that will let the signal through

Updated Windshield issues
Followed the guidance to locate the “open” areas free of interference for RF signals....
success in the location high and right of rear view mirror assembly!....yeah... gate pass now operational..
Still aesthetically acceptable, and mostly out of vision...
Small but important detail in auto daily use....information seemed somewhat obscure in manuals etc...
Thanks for the guidance to Soloution.....Otherwise GLE450 appears a great choice for us!
