I think it’s to help with the Exhaust sound. Germans try to get more out of the 6 to be more like the 8’s. Our Audi does that too & opens both sides as RPM increases.

Car been in the shop more than two weeks now , they swap out the front active sway bar still making noise. They reaching out to headquarters for help right now.

OMG. Sorry to hear this. I hate going to dealer even for an oil change... I can only imagine screwing around with problem like that ....

So today will be the third week the 53 in the shop for suspension noise. I can see from my Mercedes Me app, they will go out for a drive comes back and goes out again everyday. Must still have no idea what’s going on.

My dealer lent me a 2019 GLC. This will be the 4th week 53 in the shop. I just got update this afternoon, MB Canada escalated this issue and they been in contact with Germany for the passed two weeks. There might be a design problem, and looking for a fix. Maybe they will send out service bulletin for 53 soon. Either a bad batch of Active ride control or some ride control module is faulty.

It seems like E-ABC & the AMG version now may be hard to manufacture and/or a design issue making them unreliable. Feb of 2019 the E-ABC custom orders were held up for at least 6 months. Now they need a large supply for AMG models too so it might be a lack of supply causing them to eliminate them in Canada. Hopefully it is temporary.
it’s hard to believe that Mercedes might still have component supply shortages but the Pandemic might be responsible now. Factories need to run in an organized manner but limited staff, Corona staffing issues and parts shortages must be driving them crazy. I love my GLE❤️ but would like it even better with more power.

Translation: Fault -- limit speed to 80km/h AMG active ride control fault - Please limit vehicle speed to 80km/h - Contact service center
got a suspension fault notification on my 53 back in April during lockdown, turned off the engine and it was fine again. But then it showed up at the end of May while on the highway, stopped at a rest stop and turned off the engine thinking it'd be fine again, but it came back 10 minutes later. I kept driving it for a few days because i didn't have time to take it to a dealership and it the fault would come and go, resulting in a super hard ride.
Took it to the dealer last Monday and they plugged it into the comptuer and said there was a software update for the amg active ride control, and gave the car back 4 hours later... its been a week and a half and about 600KM, and no issues so far. just wanted to share, fingers crossed.
