Haven't used the navigation system for a while (haven't been driving much at all due to shelter in place). When we tried to find an address today we noticed that the system can't seem to find ANY addresses at all. When typing in (even just street number) it shows no results on the right.

When we go to favorite, it seems like each preset is still there but now they are empty.

Anyone has similar problem and any idea?

 

I always have problems entering addresses, especially when it comes to places named after saints (is it Saint Patrick, Saint-Patrick, St-Patrick, St. Patrick, or St.-Patrick?). It's a pretty bad system that has very old maps too.
I stick to using Waze. Problem solved.

 

No problem with the nav for me, most of the time I enter destinations using the voice system.

 

it works much better if you enter the address on your mercedes me connect app and send it to the car

extra step, but less frustration

 

yes this ended up what i did, it shows up in the car and works. still no idea why the nav system search suddenly stopped working...

 

I have never entered an address manually - voice system works very well for me.

 

I have a 2020 GLE 450, purchased Feb 3. At times my nav system will not find any addresses either with the voice commands or in manual mode. Sometimes it says that online services are unavailable at other times it seems that the nav system has not completely activated (spinning wheel). Sometimes it works perfectly, like the one time I took it to the dealer before COVID. They told me it was fine.

 

Obviously some sort of glitch. I would do a reboot.

Never had any glitches on our GLE450 (yet).

 

I’ve also never had any problems with the GLE’s nav either. Did you all update the infotainment version?

 

i tried the manual but couldn't find anything how can i reboot the system? i only find the option to reset but that basically wipe out all the personalized setting which is not what i want. i'd like to try reboot the system

 

try disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery under the driver’s seat. Lift it all the way up an forward and access from 2nd row. 10mm wrench.

 

I have a GLE 350, I can confirm voice works really good. I was very surprised how accurate it was using voice. Tried manually once, could not make it work.

 

It is not back for me. I called mBrace and was told there is no way to extend Traffic for my 2017 GLS 450. Absurd!

Next call will be to XM radio folks.
