Alert: GLE 350 with AIRMATIC Suspension Package

If you purchase GLE 350 with AIRMATIC Suspension Package (not sure about 450)
https://www.mercedes-benz.ca/en/vehi...ry=performance
which is additional $2450 package.
Adaptive Damping System (ADS PLUS) is missing.

How do we get this resolved.... I am sure others who bought got same thing.... can MB re-call & install these or refund us $2450?

Any suggestion?

What do you mean, "it's missing"? How do you know?

2020 GLE350 4MATIC (W167)
Adaptive Damping System (ADS PLUS) is basically software that works in tandem with driving mode for 2020 model. The mbusa website needs to update and explain that additional switches next to airmatic are available for E-ABC controls and not for airmatic. When you customize your car, the image is indeed misleading. The $2450 premium is for airmatic system. Software has no cost or a setting on MBUX.

I hope that makes sense. Currently, the extra buttons do not match with $2450 package.
All I see is lever going up & down.
I don't even see E-ABC option, so either part of package or not possible on this model.

E-ABC is a separate expensive (US $6,500) option in addition to Airmatic but is not available on the 350. There are no buttons for ADS PLUS, it's just software as Devesh said.

Adaptive Damping is there as far as I know. It’s tied to Driving mode and is what lowers the car for Sport Mode for example. There is a switch in the rear cargo area to lower the rear for loading and the switch you describe to lower the car manually. There is also a self leveling feature in the event you trailer or add weight. Other than that it’s a function of Driving Mode or at speed it lowers.

Thanks Guys, I guess the image on MB is incorrect.

By the way, my feedback is I do not see any difference with Airmatic while driving. It feels same even in Comfort mode. Speed bumps etc feels same, I failed to notice any difference... just thought of passing this along in case someone considering this option.

Sport Mode definitely stiffens the Suspension.

Ron, are you referring regular suspension?
Let's assume it does same for both steel & Airmatic in sports mode. Next question comes How much difference do you see with Airmatic vs steel?

I have done test drive on regular steel & now using Airmatic, I do not see that big difference. My understanding is in Comfort mode it should improve during bumps... so far I did not see that.

I see you have 450, with E-ABC that may not be same.

On the right hand side in LHD cars, check the handbook.

I test drove the basic 450 suspension and bought the AIRMATIC because I wanted the option to switch modes.
There is definitely a difference, Sport is stiff and low and I use that on highways when I go at higher speed... Comfort is softer and good for NYC driving because is softens the bumps.

I think the suspensions are the same in the 350 & 450 Airmatic vs Steel. I don’t have E-ABC just the Airmatic. As far as I know the Steel spring suspension in the Mercedes has no adjustability. Some cars like our Audi do move pressure via a pump to stiffen outboard shocks in corners keeping the car from leaning.
Like has been said before the Airmatic allows changing ride height to soft vs firmer. Personally I find the Comfort setting a little too soft and it’s a little boaty/floaty over roller type bumps. I’m just used to stiffer suspensions so I usually drive around town in “I” mode with everything set to Comfort except Sport Mode for the Suspension setting. At freeway speeds the car lowers automatically for better aerodynamics.
