A Pillar Trim Removal

Hi All,

I just got my 2020 GLS 450 and am trying to install the wires. I heard that the GLE is very similar to the GLS, so maybe someone can help me out here. I took off the "Airbag" plastic cover on the A Pillar trim, but there doesn't seem to be a screw in there as usual. Does anybody know if I am just supposed to yank the trim off or am I missing something here?

Trying to get the trim off so I can route my dashcam wire behind the side airbags.

Thank you!

Not sure if GLS is the same, for this is what I did for the GLE.
You will most likely need to remove part of the door seal, then at the opening of the airbag cover, look inside. there should be a metal clip that you have to push to one direction (I forgot which way, but its either toward the windshield or the opposite). While pushing on the clip, pull the a pillar (from the top) toward the center of the car (toward rearview mirror). Once you unclip it, you just lift the entire thing up and away.
There are some pictures in https://mbworld.org/forums/gle-class...m-options.html that might help you.

Thank you for the help. There were a few metal clips in there and i just fiddled around with it and eventually i was able to use a trim remover to yank the trim out at the top. Not sure what I did correctly but it worked.

Hi all,

2022 GLE 53, I tried the left passenger side fuse box, everything I tried was always on, or did not work at all, going to try right side tomorrow, freaking hot here in TX to e working outside lol

any suggestions, I did retrieve the fuse box diagram so I know what goes to what

BTW on the GLE 53 2022 there is no screw on the A pillar have to push a little clip down while pulling the pillar out
