I figured it just meant a car was sold but really didn’t change the speed though. I’ve never heard though that you make them “order as priority.”

Built on 12th and delivered on 25th is more a function of the alignment of the stars and planets with a little wave of Harry Potter's wand. So glad you got it so quickly and hope it brings enjoyment to our lousy times.

My wife took delivery of her 2021 GLE63S about a month ago. She absolutely LOVES it. I am also amazed at the quality and size inside and out. This is a HUGE vehicle, but nimble and absolutely powerful - probably the fasted SUV I've driven except for the G63 and the Urus......but SOOOOOOOO much more opulent than either of those two vehicles. And holy cow, is it comfortable to drive. The inside of the cabin is pin drop quiet and very very smooth. By far the best SUV overall I've driven - and I've driven them all!

That's a very nice build and I think a reasonable discount considering the scarcity of the car. Of course, someone will always come on and tell you they got 10% but I wouldn't drive yourself crazy. Now for the wait...

On my 53AMG SUV I got invoice cost which is around 6% off MSRP. Second car bought with them. Ordered in June 2020 and built date is now second decade of March 2021.

For discounts it really depends on your area. I’m located in FL and it’s doable to get around 10% due to there being a lot of dealerships in this state (there are 5 of them within a 1 hour drive from me) and there’s at least 2 volume dealerships in this state (that I know of, there may be more). Whereas other states that maybe have 5 dealerships in the entire state that are smaller dealerships won’t offer much of a discount on their cars.

Got an update today. There is a rear seatbelt part that needs to be replaced. They have parts but they have to replace them in all the GLEs that have been built before any of them can be shipped to dealerships. My eta was rescheduled to tomorrow 1/7, but now it’ll be about 3-4 days later from what I was told today.
So my guess is to expect more delays. Not sure if it affected the other GLE models besides the 350.

@makris0000 sorry to hear that but I’m not surprised. I’m supposed to get an update early next week and since this has dragged on since Feb, I‘ve about had it. I’ve watched too many deals go by. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses.

My SA told me they have been invoiced and my 580 is due into the dealership tomorrow. I don't need the rear seat belts anyway, haha. BACnMercedes hope yours gets moving soon.

I don’t need the rear seat belts either I’m usually the only one in the car and maybe one other passenger 😉. I hope yours comes in soon BAC I feel your pain! I was worried that I will be out of a car because I have to turn in my E300 lease next week but the dealership told me they’d give me a loaner car if my GLE doesn’t arrive before I have to turn in my current car.
At this point the only other SUV that I like that would be within budget is the Genesis GV80 but those are very hard to get right now since it’s a brand new model.

Paid my deposit and I have a PO number and Decade Planned/Scheduled/Prod Date with Status A4. Can I ask do I need any other confirmation number to know my order is progressing? Thank you!

I don't believe so. If I remember correctly there isn't a way for a consumer to track the progress besides asking your sales guy for an update.

I ordered a 2021 GLE 450 back in early October. Delivery was estimated by Christmas. The week of Christmas, I was told car had been built, but pulled back to factory for a part. Called dealership last week and was told I would receive car in January. Contacted dealership this week for an update and told that due to seatbelt issue, car will not be released until (maybe) April and still no definite date.
I understand there are delays, but if a part is available why wouldn’t my (already built) vehicle not be released until 4 months from now? Curious if anyone else is experiencing the same delay time?

There have been numerous posts about 48 volt battery and seat belt issues. I am hoping if there are supply issues holding up the release that these ETA's reflect that. I don't think I will wait if they tack on a few more months.
