First day I ordered SA he emailed me the confirmation number and some other things but not the actual netstar paperwork. I trusted him have done this before.
Every week he would email me with updates on the car. 2 days before car was to be dropped of was on a Wednesday told me car should be here any minute/hour/day and he would be off that weekend and would most likely see me on Monday to pick up car.
Monday came and car was gone.
Already been leaving horrible reviews everywhere and 2 complaints with BBB one on the dealer and one on Mercedes to get there attention again.
Really waiting for the GM response want to see if he returns my call.
Good thing my lawyer is a Beamer fan he hates MBZ and told me he would be honored to type something up lol...so he gathered all my info since day one of ordering confirmation number SA name and other things and he will make a nice letter asking for an explanation to Dealer and Mercedes what happened and why.
Told me the same thing I’ve been thinking the last 2 days....let’s put some fire under there feet.

OR, you could go the other way: Talk with the GM and explain your situation. You need a car now, but really want one to your specs. See if you might not be able to work out a deal on a demo or a used GLE they have in stock, where you can use it until another ordered car can be built for you. I know it’s a long shot, but it’s something that could end up being a positive for you and the dealer. With a bit of pressure from MBUSA and your attorney, some sort of creative solution might end up flying. The problem with the Cayenne, is that you really need to load them up with expensive options, before they start competing with the GLE and the dealers never order those options on a car for stock.

Also, no one likes dealing with a "Karen". Reach out and talk to them. If you see that you are not getting anywhere by being nice then move onto other options. But if you start off the bat by posting negative reviews and complaint, you will likely not get too far.

Thx guys for your responses they are all very helpful.
They just offered 10% off on MSRP and there cost on extended warranty and prepaid maintenance package when new one gets in. And also a GLE loaner in the next couple of weeks till new one gets here. Autonation and Mercedes did reach out to them early this morning they told me and they wanted to get things right, right away.
They supposedly took care of the sales man who sold it without checking or asking anybody. Nothing else I can do now just to wait. oh and the cayenne just checked out not for me or wife ride to harsh.

I'm not so certain about the conciliatory approach. I would doubt very seriously that they want to reach a resolution other than your just going or sucking it up and reordering, with no guarantee that they wouldn't pull the same stunt on the next vehicle. Your ideal resolution, to my way of thinking, is MB finding you a vehicle or allocation from another dealer. If you are stuck with them, make certain you are in a position of strength. Perhaps some of this is driven by the resentment I have for HOI in missing the leaking head gasket. I would expect that the GM would "apologize" and tell you what a wonderful deal they are offering you on the reorder. He then tells MB you are happy. And his AutoNation handlers can say "another chump we gaslighted." Yes. In some circumstances I have been very conciliatory and even uncharacteristically nice. But with a $70K plus custom vehicle from a high-end dealer I go full predator.

It sounds like the Dealership went above and beyond in this case. It will be expensive for them to provide transportation, buy an extra Demo, and giving a discount.
The first salesperson who made promises and forgot to write a contract or take a deposit (both parts of a legal transaction) is at fault, not the salesperson who actually sold the car, or the Manager who had no idea of verbal promises, or the F&I person who also would have no idea of those promises.
I hope this deal gets put in writing, and the OP makes a real deposit. And that this "un-deal" doesn't poison future relationships with the Dealership.

I got some good news today. I was told the plant in Alabama is ahead of schedule by 3-4 days so my GLE 350 may get delivered before the original estimated date of 12/15.
My question is, the status according to NetStar shows B3-X-10 PROD. Does anyone know what that means? I am not familiar with the NetStar codes.

Just got an update today that my GLE450 has been on a rail car since last week from Alabama heading to NJ. I should see this in NE next week. I ordered 3rd week of August with a 3rd decade of October build date that was subsequently pushed back a few weeks.
Can't wait now that I'm on the home stretch.

My GLE450 SUV left Alabama on the 10th via train and is in Massachusetts waiting for a truck to Bangor, Maine. It should be here this week.

I could have waved at your car since the CSX line runs through Teaneck NJ several blocks from my house and always see trains with sometimes as many as 50 tri-level auto carriers.

Thank you. I'm hoping it comes early if not on time since the factory is ahead of schedule according to my sales guy. I have been hearing that too that the NetStar status updates are either delayed or not updated in the system.

The one Audi (SQ7) and truck (High Country) I had my eye on finally sold this last weekend. I’m trying to hold out but I even resorted to trying the Costco discount option to buy a 53 and that was a waste of time. I even called a dealer that had a 53 I liked in the mid Atlantic to get a build sheet on but he would never send it and only wanted me to “come in and give him 10 minutes.” Car buying should not be this hard. Or long.
