Anyone else with 2021 GLE On Order?
Just for curiosity, has anyone else placed on order for 2021 GLE? As I've been writing in various threads, ordered a '21 GLE350 on 6/1. Have a production date of 3rd decade August. But of course not holding my breath with all of the uncertainties. Designo Cardinal Red, Driver Asst Plus, Lighting, Premium 1, Brown Walnut Trim, Black MB Tex, Power Psgr seat, Augmented video, Ventilated front seats, Heated steering wheel, Head up display, running boards. Glad that '21 allows MB Tex with Ventilated seats for the first time, I;ve had both MB Leather and MB Tex in the past and I'd just as soon save a little money.

At least in the US, the ventilated seats have been available with MB-Tex since ‘20, and actually since the ‘19 A Class, but yes, it is very nice! I actually find the mb Tex softer then the leather and just as nice feeling, and the cost difference is substantial. Really glad they are offering the drivers assist plus without mandating massage seat now!

Hmmm... when I priced out a '20 with the online configurator, it seemed to require leather with ventilated seats. But that's the discounted and lease prorated $1620 (at 2020 prices) that I don't have to spend.

Maybe it’s because on the ‘20s, the drivers assist plus requires massage seats which requires warmth and comfort, ventilated Seats, and leather, and then the leather requires passenger memory.

That's no doubt the case. Those would have been very nice options but conserving $ for what I hope will be loads of domestic and intl travel once we have an effective COVID vaccine (thinking optimistically).

As I had written in another thread, since there was no list price, the print out came out $111,111 for car plus $1050 destination. The blood drained from my wife's face. And the sales rep and I played it a bit too long before telling her that they just plug in a number until official pricing released.
Hope we both have smooth builds and delivery.

I placed an order for GLE 53 on 6/13 with estimated delivery in the first week of September, and I'm praying that there are no production delays. This is going to be the longest 3 months of my life. One thing I did not like was that it comes standard with summer tires and you have to upgrade to 21" wheels to have all-season tires. I live in DC and although the winter is pretty mild, it does snow occasionally and the dealer should really recommend it during the buying process and not be brought to attention by the customer. The upgrade to 21" was $1000, but when someone is purchasing a $90,000 car, a $1000 upgrade is probably not going to be a dealbreaker. I decided not to get the AMG DYNAMIC Plus package because I read somewhere that the suspension was more sporty and might not be as comfortable as the standard suspension which is important because DC roads suck.

I just had my Dealer give me a 2021 AMG 53 build sheet that allowed heated steering wheel and it left the AMG Dinamica steering wheel & Track Pace. Is that an error? There are 5 pieces to the AMG Active Ride+ that include the Steering wheel & track pace.

Can anyone on this thread help me check the status of my order? Last I heard from my dealer was estimated delivery in Late Sep or Early Oct.

That's the same with me-- late Sept, early Oct. When is your build date? Dealer should have all of that as well as status code. They start building the MY21 3rd decade August. Even if built, it depends upon when MBUSA decides to release the MY. My rep things it might be sooner rather than later since they have virtually no inventory of GLE models.

Same for me. The build date is 3D Aug. I will check with him on what is the status code. Do you have a glossary of what status code maps to what status?

You can find the status codes somewhere on this MBWorld forum. Just Google. You will most likely show Bs X-10, which is what I show. B3 means no changes. X-10 nobody seems to know. Next status change would be 19 days prior to production and 13 days prior. We should receive our cars about the same time. BTW, which model GLE?

2016 S550 Coupe
Placed an order for GLE 53 SUV on 7/1 for my wife with estimated build date the first week of October. She drove a 53 coupe to get a feeling of what the SUV will be like that the dealer had just got in. The option we really struggled on was the acoustic comfort pkg. I have that on my S550 coupe, and my cell phones (AT&T and Verizon) drop calls a lot in places our other cars don’t. Not sure if it is the window coatings, but we passed on that option. Build came to $90,445 before discounts and destination charges. She is very excited as this is her first Mercedes. (I am on my 3rd).
