21 inch tyre brand

Hi there just curious , I have Pirelli P Zeros 21 inch staggered wheels on my GLE. (275/45R21 / 315/40R21). And I am not particularly happy with the experience. I have double checked tyre pressure (released some air). And I still find the rear wheels harsh, and even skittish at times when driving over manholes.

does anyone here have experience or advice for tyres in this size range? Other brands? Michelin? Not sure which other tyre brands?

I think Michelin are the best tire in the car industry today, and that is a widely held perspective, backed by independent reviews. I suggest you shop on Tire Rack or at least read the reviews on Tire Rack to develop a perspective.

The Primacy Tour A/S will definitely give a better ride than what you are getting and is a more traditional luxury oriented tire.

However if you want to stick with a Max Performance tire, then try Pilot Sport 4 SUV. The Latitude Sport will be in between.

All three of these tires will ride better than the Pirelli.

thanks for your feedback. Yes i suspect where I should have made the better choice was to go with a more comfort orientated tyre setup. I will prob not go the way of ultra high performance tyres.

i have tried so many brands of tires before, and right now i believe i also have perelli on our gle350 with 21s. in general michelin are more expensive but imho their tires are much better than other brands (among the same categories). when the time comes to replace tires on our gle350 i will definitely go with michelin. if it were my car i would have gone with summer tires but since this is my wife's car and the car isn't that powerful at all, maybe i will go all season for her

My car comes with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season tires, and I found it comfortable to ride with. I haven't try the Michelin before, but my old car has Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady and those are nice also, but I don't believe they have 21" available.

Has anyone used the Continental Conti sport contact 5 for their 21s? Curious to know some feedback. There isn’t much Michelin’s in my neck of the woods for these sizes

I had those on another car and the issue is they wear out really quickly. Ride was fine though. Tire dealers can always order tires.
