RESOLVED - Please be careful with coins on top of the slider in center console
Hi All, I am looking for an advice on an issue caused by user error. My wife happened to place a quarter on the slider on top of the cup holders in the center console. Usually i like to keep the center piece clear of any items but I did not notice it this time. Upon the very first braking thereafter, it slid through and went inside. Please see the picture attached. The coin went inside in the direction of the red arrow, which is also the direction in which the slider opens.
I believe it fell into a trench where the slider scrolls down when it is opened. Now when i turn on corners, i can hear the coin sliding from one side to the other. I would really appreciate if anybody could provide thoughts on how to deal with the situation.

Without a pic it sounds like it's now inside the console, removing the pieces starting from the top would be a good start but you may be able to pop off one of the console side pieces that would allow you to get a hand in there, had a similar thing with the ashtray (junk holder) in my C and I managed to get it out that way. They just pop off but be careful.

My wife lost her wedding ring (white gold with 9 small diamonds around) the same way you lost your coin, but in the W166 GLE from 2016.
I lifted off the whole console, and even had the dealer look for us as well. No dice. It was never found.

Well, we did. It must have fallen through a hole in the floorpan or got sandwiched somewhere not visible. After the car spending over a week at the dealer, we cut our loss and accepted defeat. I'll get her another one, but it still sucks.
