Amazing fuel economy
I was skeptical of the gas mileage for an "SUV" since it was going to be used mostly for grocery shopping and driving around the suburbs, but this was a pleasant surprise. Yes my wife is light footed, but nevertheless!

Nice! I just returned from a road trip in my 2020 GLS450 with 5 passengers, full luggage and averaged 25.8 mpg. Agree - Not bad for SUV

I always reset my trip odometer at fill up and do the math. Actual mpg is usually 10% lower than the onboard computer reports. Still pretty respectable for a vehicle of this size and weight.

2023 GLE450, 2021 E350 / Used to drive: 2019 E300, 2021 + 2020 GLE350, 2019 E450 Wagon(s), 2017 E300
Just did 1,600 miles round trip in mine - 26mpg, which includes about two hours of parked idling time, so actual mpg was likely higher. Amazing getting that kind of mileage and decent performance from a big vehicle with a 4cyl engine. I am sure the new 6cyl is awesome, but they really made it easy to like the 4cyl.

I do the same thing. I am a retired engineering manager so I have to have a spreadsheet!! I calculate my mileage and compare that to the displayed value at each tank fill. I have filled my tank 33 times since taking delivery about 15 months ago. I have averaged 22.8 mpg over 8063 miles. Amazingly, my display has been within 1% on virtually every fill! My MB trip computer is the most accurate of any vehicle I have ever owned!!

Anyway, maybe I'm looking at the wrong mpg log. I just glance at the average from start which is usually just a few miles and I normally only drive the car once or twice a week.

*Yes this is a hybrid, but still!:
https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review...ic-2019-review
One of the first GLE350de's that were sold in my town now has 12000km on it. Owner claims he filled the tank 4 times since he got it, and has a mileage of 0,31L / 100km
Does 100km commute to work back/forth.
The hybrid version is allmost 10k cheaper than the regular 350 here in Norway due to tax incentives for hybrid/electric cars.
320hp and 700nm (516 foot pound). Still impressive numbers for a 4 cyl.

I've worked with engineer types most of my career...you're among friends. There's a Dilbert short called "The Knack", look it up on YouTube.

No complaints here. I had my, parents, and two teenagers in the vehicle when I achieve this mileage on an 89 mile trip. That said, it's a little odd we all 3 got exactly 29.4 MPG, wonder if there was some computer glitch with Mercedes and Me?

That looks like the mileage from our ML350 BlueTec, which we just traded for a GLE450. We'll miss the mileage, I suppose.
But we have the 4-cyl in a GLC300 and it gets @30 also.
Any more reports on a GLE450?

Here is mine. The last trip consist of mostly city driving (stop and go) with ~3 miles of highway.
And here is my average MPG based on my fuel tracking app.
Before the lockdown, I was trying ~60miles highway and 10 miles local per day on my commute, with heavy traffic from time to time.
Since the lockdown, I did mostly local with grocery shopping so a lot of idles and very slow speed of travel (and much less mileage) which result in the 18MPG one.
(You can also tell I only fuel up once in that 3 months window )
