I've been eyeing the dual exhaust covers on the 63S and I am pondering about getting a pair of those to replace the exhaust pipe covers on my 450.
It looks to me that they won't fit directly, unless the black bumper piece is also replaced. The exhaust cover part number is A0004902500, by the way.
Has anyone tried doing this?
If you have a single exhaust and cover it with a dual tip it's fake, you want to imply that your vehicle has so much HP it's needs a quad exhaust. Quads are designed for high performance AMG's, not regular MB cars. Furthermore, yes it is original to the 63 not the 450. If you want a 63 affect get a 63.You can also badge up your vehicle with a bunch of AMG monikers since they are also original parts. Maybe a 450 AMG?

Maybe I want to imply nothing and it just so happens that I like the design of a quad shaped exhaust better? Should I buy a 63S just because I like 1 specific design element?
You do know that this is just an esthetic exhaust cover both on the 63 and 450 right? And that 450 is a quad exhaust? Wrong, you don't know because you don't even have the car.

I agree...if it has wheels, some people will customize it to suit their taste. I really don’t get the Opinions that something is fake or that it’s wrong to take a part from another model to suit your personal taste. I guess it’s OK to put Vossen wheels on your AMG Mercedes but fake to change the exhaust. To me, this line of thinking is similar to a Pious opinion that only a GLE 63S is a true AMG. That seems to be Mercedes decision to make. There just seems to be more ego involved than logic at times. Besides if you own a prior Gen GLE AMG 63 you have an inferior vehicle in many ways to the new Gen GLExxx, IMO.

Agreed! Don't care about the AMG logo at all and not trying to make a fake AMG or whatever people call it.
Frankly I wish there were other options on the market with interesting designs so I can customize more 😁

Replacing exhaust pipe covers on a 450?
