Anyone have this happen? In ECO mode; was gliding through an intersection and the engine shut off as it normally does at a full stop. Put my foot on the accelerator and "dead". Had to pull over and restart the car & it was fine. Should I just consider this a computer glitch?

Happened to me once - never happened again. Didn't set a code or anything, so I left it alone and didn't mention it to dealer.

Point of "information" - in my experience - I term "ECO" mode "Auto Bahn Mode" as is adjusts engine/tranny/steering-ratio to offer driver "convenience" at 08mph+.

Whatever is listed in the Manual about ECO mode is "kindof wrong" - at least that's what's the MB German's use it for when we are scooting around between factories..

Seems like a potential safety issue. Might be worth a trip to the dealer.

Definitely could have been a safety issue. It's like the engine just died after it started; everything else remained on. No errors on dash; nothing. Just spoke to dealer and there are no bulletins. I'm just going to keep a watch on it.

There was as similar post in the S class forum. All this tech and for something so basic to go wrong that can cause serious harm is inexcusable.

YES!!!. My CLA has done it about 8 times. Mercedes said it need a computer update in which it was done, pulled out of service dept on main rd and it did the same thing..car completely shuts down and need to be restarted. I am back at service now ( we will see how this goes)

Yea. I;m the OP. Had the same thing; went to the dealer and they supposedly did a software update. Have not experienced this since.

So I found out that mercedes put a new auxiliary battery. They said they were going to do a software update but my service advisor did not see that an update was done in the computer..I have drove it and looks like that was the problem. My advisor said if it happens again it may be the car battery, and will need a new car battery

Did you get a popup showing "low battery?" On the car or the Mercedes Me app?

No battery pop-up, I took to have battery tested and battery is good. I'm beginning to think it's all electrical and the ECO switch is not talking to the car....heck...I don't know but I am exhausted with going back and forth to the service dept.
