More GLE Gremlins
I've had a few odd things happen on my 2020 GLE450. I've had the right steering trackpad randomly stop working, it won't move but the press action still works. This happened 3 times so far and fixed by a full shutdown and restart. I've also had the left headlight stuck on and that took several restarts for it to correct itself. More recently, I've noticed on a few occasions when starting the car, the climate control system was totally off, I had to physically turn it on and a couple other times, it randomly changes the set temperature to the lowest setting, blowing cold air full blast despite my temperature being set to 22 deg when the car was turned off. All of these issues seem to correct themselves but they randomly happen again at some point.... I hope these are fixed on a future software update !

I’ve had the same thing with the trackpad on the steering wheel. If you check my previous post you’ll see that the engine didn’t engage while in ECO mode from a dead stop. Nothing, dead. I pulled over, shut down and restarted and everything is fine so far. Called the dealer but they claim there were no bulletins.

I would recommend you purchase one. I think you will like it. And of course, as a GLE owner, we would value your actual experience.

To add to what others have said, this post was not meant to be a bash the GLE post.... I am generally very happy with my car, its been a treat to drive and I receive endless compliments on its great looks and high tech gadgetry. With the high tech gadgetry unfortunately comes a few gremlins, I'm not fussed about them, I'm sure they will iron themselves out or be fixed on a future software update. I've lived with Gremlins for years on my phone and computer, they get fixed eventually so why should the car be any different ?

The fact is that no one reading these posts has any perspective as to the number of problems. There have likely been over 150,000 produced to date. What percentage have had problems? Severity? Anything with a motor will have issues. Many are supplier or maybe COVID related.
Continually posting the same thing about an opinion of crappy Mercedes quality serves no useful purpose and becomes petty. It’s only an opinion and not worth much since it doesn’t support the purpose of the Forum to provide help and answers to others. We post about problems hoping for insight from others. Too often, the problem can be lack of knowledge or user error as we get used to our new vehicle.
IMO, If you have a beef with Mercedes take it to them. Don’t bore the rest of us with sarcastic comments.🤐

Consumer Reports ranks the newly redesigned GLE in a tie with the Ford Explorer for lowest reliability among new SUVs. Separately, Mercedes as a brand received a lowest-third ranking. Mercedes is spiralling downward in terms of quality and reliability.

Interesting read... It says right in the article that the electronics are one of the contributors to the low rating. The GLE has a ton of tech, if CR were to interview me I would have to mention the Gremlins but I still love the car and its amazing in numerous other ways !

I'm pretty sure that "places" is just a bot since they only post a few variations of the same message, which is essentially a negative statement in regards to a vehicle they only know about from reading few things online ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
The 450 which my wife primarily drives has no issues yet... as I posted before my Cayenne which costs double the GLE already had 2 major problems. It's fixed now, but the tally is 2:0 still...

When reading posts on a forum like this, keep in mind you generally only hear from the people with a gripe. It's like living in an emergency room and never seeing the rest of the world. You'll soon believe everyone is sick.

I have the luxury of being able to hand it back at the end of a lease. Others might not be so lucky.

Why don't you investigate an Early Termination of your lease? You might be surprised at the resale value. In your case, it would be a mistake not to get away from your problem.
Then, after several months of your ranting about how bad M-BV Finance was, you'd be gone.
