Got pretty tired of the selenite gray and recently did a satin white all around wrap, de-badged the GLE450 and 4Matic, wrapped the rear chrome bar gloss black, blacked out the rear M logo emblem, painted the two exhaust tailpipes black, dual color door handles (gloss black and satin white), added some tint to the front grill emblem, wrapped the hood emblem black, and added some accent white color to the front grill. Have always like the appearance of a white car with the black out trimmings that gives it a nice contrast. The only chrome left on my vehicle are from the running boards and the diamond grill. I'll try to post photos later.

Wheel mounting pin (wheel hanger)
Since many are getting ready to switch out their Winter wheels, I thought I'd repost this helpful tool. I worked with this small manufacturer early on to get a wheel hanger (mounting pin; lug guide) made in the new M15x1.25 spec. These are very high quality machined stainless steel and a great help mounting heavy wheels. A bargain.

here's a place I found to get OEM GLE lug bolts. I've read it's hard to get them from the dealer and I think these might be cheaper, even with the freight:
(scroll all the way down for GLE/V167 lug bolts

Just received the center storage tray I ordered from AliExpress, which is slightly different than the one Ron showed in the original post. For those thinking about the AliExpress verison, here's what I received. I paid about $12 and searched for "GLE 350 W167 2020 Car Central Armrest Storage". It took about 2 weeks for it to arrive.
The tray liner is removable for easier cleaning
Installed. You can lift from the rear to access underneath for the items you don't need access to everyday.

yeah would be nicer if the logo was reversed but guess it’s not a big deal. I guess I could just flip the liner but then the bottom hole would be wrong. Oh and yeah, I’m sure it’s fully authorized

Problem solved with the logo!
If I end up needing the hole for the cable at a later time, I'll just get out the dremel.

This forum as great for sharing ideas ! I installed this months ago, it was one of my first mods. It never occurred to me that the AMG logo was facing the wrong way until I saw this thread.... All fixed now :-)

My GLE 53 was ordered with the Acoustic Comfort and the infrared windshield. I had an overmount windshield suction cup mount for my radar detector upper right of the mirror. While this worked somewhat the detector was below the opening and some signal strength was lost. I found a bottom mount and was able to raise my detector so that it sits in the opening. My new Uniden R7 had venting on the underside so I had to trim the mount and used an industrial grade Velcro to fasten. The new under mount does not have the sticky rubber so I felt that the weight of the Uniden would make it come loose often. I was able to add Velcro to the rear view mirror mount and another piece to the top of the Uniden and it’s very solid with no bouncing around. The top buttons are hard to touch but the R7 has mute and mark on the side. Menu and volume are on top so I can reach menu without seeing the location. After a few days this seems to be working better now. Before the change I was mostly picking up rear signals and few in front.
The Uniden GPS speed matches the vehicle speed and also two roadside radar speed signs. My odometer reads lower by 5-6 miles on a 640 mile trip so it is very close with new tires.

I lost track of the thread where we discussed the different impact sockets for the new Gen V 167 stud bolts. I think most if not all silver bolts are 6 point Florette head and the Black are a standard socket. My aftermarket black bolts and the silver from Tire rack are also standard 6 point.
Some wheel openings don’t have clearance for a plastic covered socket designed to not mar the wheel paint. One 6 point was too thick so I bought an under $6 one at Lowe’s and wrapped it with clear package tape. It’s also an inexpensive work around for casual use.
