Shopping for a 2021 GLE 63s...and wondering if people are getting discounts on either orders or inventory on the lot? I see one on the lot that I like for $130k...what is a fair price for that (dealer has 3 or 4 new GLE63's in stock). Many thanks for your input!

I got about 3.5% for an "on the lot" 63s. Not great, but not bad either.

If they have 3 on the lot then they might move. I’d look online and see if they have any of them listed on websites for sale. One of the major car sites also lists how long a car has been listed for sale on that site. I cannot remember which one but it might be car gurus. Knowing how long a car has been on the lot might be a good bargaining tool.

I was able to get $2000 off sticker for a fully loaded special order 21 GLE63S. Some dealers offered no discount, a few offered $1000.

But I’ve been waiting 4 months for production and still have another month to go.

The only way to really answer that question is to present yourself as an actual buyer.

You got that $2k discount ~ 4 months ago, correct? That's when there weren't many vehicles around. That makes sense as was a good deal then....Now ~ 200 around the country...so wonder if deals have gotten better.

I see on the GLS forum someone claims to have gotten 8% off on a custom 2021 GLS63 with an existing allocation back in October. Is there any reason dealers would be more aggressive on moving that vehicle vs. at GLE AMG? Has anyone gotten 6-8% off a GLE 63?

I’m not in the Industry, and I don’t have inside knowledge, but I believe they have 8% markup plus about 2% in year-end holdback. If we assume that is reasonably close, I don’t see how 8% is reasonable unless they had way WAY too much inventory on site. Even a demo, which I’ve typically seen at the normal discount plus about $1/mile. In my experience, cutting the margin in half (4%) gets you pretty close to a straightforward and painless buying experience.

I know this thread is on AMG 63S but I got dealer invoice on a 53 AMG special order. Dealer invoice is about 6% off.

There are too many pieces to pricing to know actual cost but it’s not Invoice. The new car discount received can be higher if the trade allowance is lower. You need to know all of the pieces but I agree that very few Dealers will discount much on a GLE.
