A quick cut and paste in Photoshop and I'm thinking this is what I will do. Just a touch of chrome on the bottom edge.... Did you do it yourself? That trim piece appears to just pop off, can you confirm what's involved with installation and if you have the part number for the bottom trim piece that would be greatly appreciated.

The bottom trim you put in is actually 3 pieces. The part numbers are: 167-885-68-03, 167-885-69-03 (those are the left & right trim), and 167-885-45-05 for the center trim. I did not do the work myself. I had the guys that did my PPF handle it. Only thing I can tell you is there were a lot of clips involved and they are clips made onto the trim piece, not separate clips. Definitely worked out well though.

Hi All, Does anyone have the right part number for the sport pedals that will fit a W167 2021 GLE? I'm about to give up on this upgrade :-( , I'll be updating some new photos of the addition of some night package bits to the front of my GLE soo.

I know for sure it can be done because I have them on my 450. I think my dealer just ordered them from the a GLE53 VIN as far as I recall.

.
I also have them, in another thread I provided the part # I used ~1.5 years ago but I understand the online parts websites are now saying that # was replaced by a newer one. I think you said those sites don't show the part as 'compatible' with the 2020 GLE, but those compatibility lists aren't 100% up to date.

I'm reasonably confident it would work just fine for you.

Ali parts

hello All, just got my Ali package with the metal window switch cover (seems quite nice) and the covers for the chrome fins (which I’ll probablu sue the actual MB part now). Only disappointment is that I ordered the lock bottom covers as well and they only sent me one side so so now I have to figure out how th get the other from them. Any tips on installing the plate around the window buttons?

Definitely not a DIY job ! Took it to the dealer today and they are telling me the front bumper needs to be removed to access the clips required to change the trim... Can you confirm if this is indeed true? If so I may have to abandon this project.

It's pretty simple - clean the area well, remove the adhesive tape backing from the piece and ease it into place starting at one end, then press firmly.

When I was doing my due diligence to understand the changing of the trim, the service advisor at my dealer told me they would simply put it on a rack and raise the vehicle to work from the backside of the trim to remove. The guys that did the PPF gave me the same explanation when I asked how they would go about it. I can't see why they would have to remove the entire bumper to do it. Might get a second opinion from a reputable body shop.

Thanks, I chickened out of doing it this evening as it looks like a if you do it wrong once you've got a mess scenario getting it off.

OP - How did you install the exterior carbon fiber pieces? Did you have to remove the existing pieces or do you just install it over the existing part? I assume it has some adhesion on the back to make it stick/hold.

All of the CF trim pieces came with pre-installed adhesive, Easy install... peel, align and stick. The mirror CF was placed over the existing mirror housing.

Hey, is FormulaOne window tint any good? I have a 2020 GLE350. I want to get tint that matches the rear window's factory level tint. I"m also in Chicago.

@chrislk55 Did you have any issues with the front sensors after installing this?

Ask because I installed the large front air scoops but the sensors in the front kept buzzing as if I was going to hit something even when parked. Did you have to reset the sensor or reprogram?

No issues with my sensors, Did you install the exact same thing? Maybe yours were bigger?

Awesome. Been looking for this part since I got my 450 and no one had the right part nor did MB have any idea which it was. They just arrived and look correct. Is the accelerator pedal easy to install or better have shop do it? Did you install yourself. Thanks again.

The brake is easy. Pull rubber off and slip the new piece onto the plate.
Accelerator pedal is pretty easy as well. You’ll need a socket and wrench to dislodge from the floorboard. Unplug the wiring harness and then reverse the steps to install the new pedal. 30 mins for both.
Good luck!
