I've been ordering a few things to gently "dress up" my GLE450, I'll share my experiences with the group.... The black lugs are not from Ali Express, they were probably the most expensive of the group but well worth it, the silver lugs just didn't work for me...

MB part numbers: Black Lugs: A0009904418 / Black wheel locks: A0009909719

I got these carbon fibre mirror skins from Ali Express, someone posted a while back that they solved the high pitch whistle at highway speeds and yes, indeed they do...

Then of course to match the mirrors, a touch of carbon fibre on the front... Was worried about these but the quality is exceptional and the installation was a breeze. It adds a nice touch to the boring black night package front end IMO.

I wanted a protector for the rear bumper but the chrome was just too bright so I found these also on Ali Express, fit and finish was great and it blends right in

And for my absolute favourite of the lot... As much as I love the interior of this car, there are some areas where the cheap plastic just annoyed the hell out of me ! This was one area and this little item makes the car look as it should have from the factory ! Excellent fit and finish and installation was a breeze... They were available in a number of colours including carbon fibre but opted for the basic stainless look.

Can you post the links (or send me a private message) for these items?

Not keen on the carbon fiber look but that's still an excellent solution to the mirror wind noise problem.

I like the window switch modification. Would be great if you post a link to that.

I don't have any whistle from the mirrors so not sure what the benefit is there. Maybe because I have the acoustic comfort package.

Yeah links!!
i don’t have the whistle noise on mine and I have the ACP also. But I did notice it in the 350 loaner I had. Those window switch mods look great by the way. I want those.

Post updated and links added.

I wasn't a huge fan of the CF mirror but it blends in nicely on a black car. Best of all, it solves the wind noise issue which was the main reason for adding it.

Appreciate the inspiration here - fit and finish is pretty good. Feels the same as the rest of the similar elements in the interior. I kind of like then reflection that comes off these things with the interior lighting.

Thats awesome! it's a neat little upgrade that doesn't break the bank. The stainless fits in perfectly with the rest of the interior trim.

Very cool upgrades. I wish I had the night package but wasn't on mine. Do you think those front end parts would would look ok with a regular chrome front end and darken it up a bit. I've been looking into what I could do to add some of the night package elements to mine.

I know the chrome trim on the front spoiler area can be replaced with black from the night package, that would be he easiest option ...

You would need to order those from MB, just find a VIN from the same year as your car but with the night package and they can order based on that.

Ali Express switch panel trim
I just received and installed the switch panel trims. I usually shy away from Chinese products for my cars, but at least these are not a knock off of a Mercedes part, AFAIK. I was impressed with the quality and fit of these pieces, especially considering the under $30 price, which is basically free in Mercedes dollars! Very easy to install. 15 days from order to receipt is pretty good.

I just ordered them as well and also added these button covers for the door locks to hopefully complete the look. I Have the Metal weave option for my trim.

I actually did the opposite on my black GLE 450 with night package. I ordered the chrome trim for the front and had the black trim removed except for the center grill trim. I have all the black night package trim for the lower section and it's brand new (trim was replaced immediately when car came in). If you're interested I would certainly be willing to sell it for less than MB will charge. Let me know if you have an interest and I'll be glad to take pics if you'd like. I think I paid around $478 + tax for the chrome replacement trim ordered with the dealer.

I actually did the opposite with mine. I ordered my 2021 GLE 450 with night package and as soon as it came in I had the lower black trim removed and replaced with chrome. I kept the center grill trim as it was. I paid about $478 + tax for the chrome trim pieces.
I have the black lower trim (8 pieces) if you have an interest in it. I'd be willing to sell it for less than MB would charge and if you would like I'll be glad to snap some pics to send.

Haven't received my car yet but already thinking about mods. Does anyone have experience with the door speaker covers. This product on eBay seems like a good way to change fromm the black plastic speaker cover to the metal burmester speaker cover. It seems nice and it has the ambient lighting around it as well but seems a bit pricey.

Curious about the install - do you just pop off the old and replace with the new? Any special tools needed? I have a GLE53 on order with the carbon fiber trim. The only thing I really dislike about it is that the center console is piano black rather than CF. As I was checking out some of these mods on Ali Express, I saw a carbon fiber piece for the center console that would replace the piano black, which intrigued me. Assume install process would be similar. Thoughts?

The switch panel pieces just stick on with the pre-applied tape. The edges are contoured so they look correct when installed. Not sure about the console piece.

Ahh - I see. So just sticks right on top of it - no removal of parts. Helpful - thanks!

Would love to see a pic of this .... Night package front with the bottom chrome trim. I would like to do this also but curious to see how it looks.

Here you go. I really like the contrast with the black. Only thing I kept on front from the night package was the grill trim.
